I just found LazerPig the other day. Might not be everyone's style but he seems to be quite knowledgeable. I find him entertaining at least. My question is armor. Read the Chieften 3 can take a direct hit from a Russian tank head on. If so then armor is still useful. Abraham's X looks freaken like a beast IF it works as intended. Especially with the silent running and thermal camouflage. That would fix modern tank combat by a lot. Also Active Defense seems to be improving dramatically. I wonder if we will be adding more armor to the top to combat the shaped charges. So ATGMs might not be as devastating to a modern or future tank even though they are also getting cheaper and lighter by the day. Like always though tanks need support from other units and tactics is key. If you don't have infantry or the enemy owns the sky they are vulnerable just like everything else.

@Radioactisaurus Radiation is everywhere if your tool is sensitive enough. Oh and rice has arsenic and those who eat it multiple times a day are more likely to get cancer.

Dominoes did more than that. They actually improved their food too. It use to be disgusting IMO and now its alright. Not the best and absolutely not the worse. Pretty solid.

Can't wait in five to ten years when Axial Flux motors come out in mass. There is one by Helix UK. They claim 52 pounds and.... 800 BHP! Imagine if someone grabs two. Sticks it with a tiny jet turbine generator. A small solid state battery to run. Stick it into a small body. Boom! Hell, soon you wouldn't need a generator. Future is bright. I don't care if a car goes vroom. I just want speed, and great handling. EVs allow that with the center of mass. They just have the whole weight issue. I am surprised there aren't more series hybrids TBH with a turbine engine. Always thought they were the most efficent, lightweight, and relatively simple.

@anlockcharacter1104 No they won't. It will hurt the economy for sure and take changes to their system. When we all stopped making and developing nuclear plants while shutting down old ones we screwed up. Ukarine is an other issue entirely which I don't want to get into but I suspect giving them weapons will slowly decline anyway. Maybe america can give Europe some of the 1.4 million pounds of cheese.

Mind explaining the penalty part? Is that some tax penalty or something?

It doesn't make any sense. The salt is coming from the ocean... All you're doing is putting concentrated salt water back in but in theroy it should be the same amount of salt. The water will eventually make its way back. I don't know why they can't use the salt and other minerals in the brine anyhow. Surely they can get it out and sell it as sea salt!
1
Let me see you recycle your battery mate. Heck, I encourage you to do so because it's better than waste. As for your phone why the hell is it in a box still? Again go sell it to someone. No one is forcing you to get a new phone and if you have to upgrade because it's in a contract or something then that's on you. What do you expect to get full money back for something used? Ha, ya delusional. Complain about something else.
1
@mahealanihawaii9830 I don't work for any company. Try again mate.
1
Some people put their 1k phones to good use. Just not Apple phones do to software.

BK is only good for their mozzarella sticks. Hate McDonald's. Wendy's allowed me to craft a crazy burger which was actually good. Love their spices chicken. Sadly my stomach sucks and I'm basically dying so I could only take a few bites but it was good. Preztle bun, Asiago Cheese, Bacon, Spicey chicken. Think i added some cheese dip or something on the side. Heard their chili was good too. Don't care for the fries. Keep trying to get the gaelic and truffle ones and they send regular.

All these excuses. "Hormonal". Sure there are some people with it. I bet the portion of people who actually have basically a disease causing them to gain weight is few. Sure hormonal as in people with depression eat more. That is a mental issue, and not a physical. Calories in. Calories out. It is that simple. You're eating too much if you are over weight. Probably not too much either, but enough. I think it is generally just a large soda, or 200 calories. I have weight issues myself. I need to gain weight or else I will be dead soon. Doctors are shocked I'm even still walking. So I get annoyed when people say, "just eat more" myself when my body literally rejects food. It is slightly different yet annoying non the less. What I'm saying is it isn't easy. Stop making excuses. You literally don't need to go to the gym to exercise. You need to stop eating as much. Count your calories. Cut out soda with tons of carbs. Eat some protein with your meal or full dairy fat as they will make you feel fuller for longer.
1
@webbsurfer No. While my problem is physical. I was saying I get it why people getting annoyed when people just say "OH just eat less!" If it were easy no one would be fat. But really. You gotta eat less instead of making excuses. I see it all the time with some. Just like I need to eat more, and gain weight, or I'm a dead man. Which I do, and have been to the best of my ability. It sucks. If I force it too much I puke. My portions are tiny and I struggle to finish them. I wish I could just pop a pill or something. Yet I continue to do it anyway, bite by bite. I wish some of ya fatties could give me some of their fat. Or appetite! You can do it people. If I can gain weight. You can lose weight. It isn't easy, but all the people I've met who lost their weight are so proud of themselves. You'll feel much better when you do.

40 to 80k and hey you don't own the battery! Yeah I will pass. Sorry I would rather take care of the battery pack myself then. Like buying an ICE without an engine.
1
Chinas issue is they keep pushing and everyone is going to eventually get fed up. No one wants to go to China either. There is no incentive to raise a family there and they have the audacity to project their prejudices on places like the West saying "You will never have blonde hair or blue eyes." Oh they are right, but they fail to realize that is actually OKAY. We don't want you to have blue hair or blue eyes. Secondly I would say 80% of the population actually does not. I use to think the West was terrible. Yet having China or more specifically the CCP and Xi as the leading world power scares me more. I usually like to see countries to succeed but I would like the CCP to burn.

@ValMartinIreland If everyone switched to cars tomorrow in America. It would draw the same power as everyone who has an AC turning it on for four extra hours. Basically a 30% increase. Which isn't a small number, but not as bad as people think. Yet everyone isn't going to switch tomorrow are they? Solar and wind are now cheaper than all other ways for power without subsides. Powering a car through the grid is more efficient. Now the only issue is that local grids will need to be beefed up. Our grid needs an overhaul anyway. There are many battery technologies in the work that will hold more power, be cheaper, charge faster. EV is the future. Just makes sense.

They are only poison if you don't have a well balanced diet. Or eating JUST poptarts. Which in that case, yes. They are perfect for what they are for. A quick easy snack to give you calories. Can even balance out the lack of some nutrition with some good fruit juice. I can't stand them anymore. Yet as a kid I'd be so jealous of other kids who had them. Rich kids food. Screw the chocolate. By the way for the other poster. What preservatives in them are causing cancer? Funny how when you ask people that question they don't know. Fun fact. Fruit has so much sugar in it now, that zoos stopped giving their animals it since it is also unhealthy.

I say make this thing a drone carrier.

That is what I was thinking. BS that they don't have their own chargers for one. So basically they force you to bring back a vehicle that is full when there is nothing close enough to actually hit that point since you lose charge bringing it back from god knows where the closest working station was. Scamming. That is what they are doing. Then there is literally no benefit to driving EVs. You get the worse of it with no benefit. Well golly! No wonder why people don't want to deal with that. I'm an avid EV fan just due to the low center of gravity and fast as hell acceleration. Generally all the tech that goes into them.(outside of having no buttons for Tesla. Buttons are nice) Even I would be like screw that non sense. Just give me an ICE. Also EVs are not for people traveling anyway. The mileage/charging is not there. They are for small commutes.

I'm sitting here waiting for surgery paid by Medicaid. Heptorenal ‐ hopefully I can get a transplant. Its crazy people are getting away with this. I have to make sure I have an ID and fill out 100 forms. Someone might be trying to use mine but were denied.
1
It is a lie. We will always give some carbon off - we just need to start sucking the chemicals up and storing them and stop lying like if we cut down it will fix its self. There will be no single solution. I agree with most of what you said but traffic jams in the sky? Nope. Just hope. Landing and taking off for sure but not for flying - unless we are only allowed to fly at one set altitude which would be ridiculous. 3D space opens up a lot of... Space. I am curious on how air space or air lanes will work though!

How do people think about Tesla in Europe? Personally I don't like the interiors of Tesla myself as an American, and glad there are options for EVs now. In fact I would buy a Lucid over a Tesla. I want buttons and functionality. Tesla minimalist design for interiors I don't know how the hell VW group is the biggest car maker! I look at the brands, and think.... Are Skoda and SEAT that popular? Is every other car a Jetta, and Golf?! The rest are freaken expensive cars. Random note. A car that blew my effin mind was actually the KIA EV6 GT! I detested Kia my entire life until I saw that my whole life. It was the brand hippie college kids drove at 30mph on the highway on ramp. It is wicked quick and fun from all reviews. One of those cars that looks better in real life for sure though.
1
Kia eva GT is a super car. I have read it is a blast to drive. Range might not be the best. Hope they improve.
1
That is ridiculous. Now if they KNOW someone is counterfeiting and do nothing that is different. As far as you? Try to buy directly from the producer and if you can't and see a price too good to be true then you know it. Report it as seen.
1
Yup patent trolls should be sued for sure. The governments need to stop these people because it is literally against everything patents are suppose to do. Forgot the dudes name but he makes millions from just settling out of court. He does his research for sure and will hit up a company for just the right amount of money for him to go away. People like that should be banned from being able to sue, and counter sueing them should be easier.
1
@IMGreg.. Nuclear, wind, tidal... Do not need solar at all. Solar is a waste of space IMO. Great for small scale but using land just for solar is ridiculous IMO. Even China is making it illegal. Well if they can pull it off for sure then okay. I have nothing against hydrogen or in cahoots for pure EV. Yet honestly things like the hydrogen combustion engine are dead on arrival and have absolutely no use. Even the theoretical most efficient hydrogen combustion engine possible still isn't worth it and we aren't close to that level of efficiency. Also the PSI alone to make it even compete with gas would be astronomical and quite dangerous. As batteries and especially super capacitors make more developments though it wouldn't surprise me if we don't see hydrogen cars take off. I think we were stupid for not embracing nuclear safely. We really could use nuclear desalination and power plants across the world ATM.

@PHlophe You know why. Stocks must go up!

@Astra2 It wasn't a complete success. Come on. Half the ship disintegrated which they didn't plan for. Yeah they hit their main goals, but that shouldn't have happened. How is it going to be reusable when half the rocket needs to be fixed. With that said... The wrote the software to control the rocket are on an other level. The fact the main flight surfaces basically changed shape from disintegrating, and it still landed is just INSANE. I don't think even the engineers expected it to be able to handle that. Truly amazing. That flight software must be worth billions after that show. I bet NASA engineers wished they had that sheer computing power. Oh on top. Boeing a went downhill when MBAs started taking over. We need to start supporting smaller companies in the arms and space industry. Lockheed and Boeing are too comfortable. They are basically subsidized on purpose. I think Elon wild Twitter talk makes him a security risk in the eyes of the government. What we should do. If any US manufacturer can make a part with the same or better specs for cheaper? The government then can void a contract and give it to them. Boeing and Lockheed are too comfortable with hand outs since the end of the cold war ended so many companies.
1
She is right. We invest. Then pay extra. Sometimes thrice. I was thinking about it with the defense industry. The way it is now? It would be like you telling me to build you a car. So I build it with your money and resources. I pay myself, and buddies. I should just give you the car at this point, right? Not in America! Then say it is finished, but you have to buy it off me now, and I own the rights to any upgrades for the future. I'm going to charge you a premium for many of the parts, and you aren't allowed to use anyone else. It is ridiculous.
1
Yes I always loved rail. It is my favorite. We need rail ASAP and the government should make it cheap like every other country does. It is an investment! I just wanted to point out that the highways were made for the Military first and foremost. Secondly highways were perfect for America when built. It is geographically massive and the population density isn't like China, Korea, Japan, and Europe. So we need to stop comparing ourselves to them but it is unnacceptable that our coasts do not have major high speed lines that are world class in speed and reliability. We should already have multiple lines connecting Boston to NYC, Philly, to DC, Athens, and down to FL. Basically the I 95 but in rail form. The environment benefit is a plus but we should be talking about the economic benefits this could give many Americans and how it can improve the quality of life for many. Also our cargo line is still top in the world. I didn't know this and hear they are also part of the issue on top of the lobbyists and bureaucratic mess.
1
Yeah and you can't hang out in them either. They need to be more social. Rent for stores is also ludicrous. Also yeah I will never understand the pricing on clothes. Especially fast fashion... Like yo, you just spent your entire paycheck on those a few months ago and now getting rid of it... Okay!
1
@albertcamus5970 How many people go to the track? Regenerative breaking helps with the life of the break immensely mate. They turn quick enough. I am not racing between a line of road cones or taking exits at 130mph. Sure they breaking will never be as good as a lighter car, but for daily driving it is so much better. So for daily driving they are awesome. Now are they as fun as a souped up Miata or RX7. An Atom or Lotus? I love those cars, when other people own them. Me? I'm buying an EV. Most likely not a Tesla since I hate the blank ass interiors of them. Give me buttons! I just got a Lyft from the doctors. They picked me up in a Kia. I'm like lame... Oh boy was I wrong! It is called the EV6 GT. Loved the looks outside and inside, and he floored it while changing lanes left and right. Loved it.

No. Detterence is way cheaper than a war, and it works. We can't have Xi owning Taiwan or the pacific. We cannot make the best stuff by ourselves. Look up what a 3nm and 2nm chip takes to make supply chain wise. Money in politics is ruining us. Government is not a buisness nor should ever be treated as one. Getting money out of politics is the first step to ANY good change left or right. Yet the media Moguls like to redirect, mislead, and misinform. From Musk to Murdok to Bezoes to CNN. All of them are corrupt. Lobbying is too powerful. Got Trump paid off by Elon posing for advertisement in front of the White House. While the richest man alive slashes social security we paid for by pretending to do it with a chain saw. As his companies get government subsidize and contracts. All while high on drugs. Not one intellectually honest person can say that isn't weird. It is bizarre, and people are appluading it. We are heading straight for Idocracy, and WWIII WITHOUT allies. So yeah, we sort of need a large military. Trump cutting off our allies means they won't be purchasing weapons from our companies. They cannot trust us. Anyway wish you all the best of luck during the fall.
1
@BillsSpamMail That's a political problem for sure. Wish companies could get real smacked up for shady crap like that. Now regulations are necessity because you don't want some random battery packs out there that are a bigger hazard. I believe there is something similar for farming equipment and John Deere specifically is a horrible company.
1
What genius was this? I assume you mean the POTUS and Obama I assume, because you know nothing. Like the POTUS controls what businesses do. Republicans only want share holder profits. Cut programs to help US companies so they outsourced, because America couldn't compete since other countries do give edges to businesses. Jobs were leaving way before Obama took office. Obama was left picking up Bushes mess for most of his presidency.
1
Yeah people might not know much but they generally know what a semiconductor is used for and that they are important for electronics. Such an odd statement to make.
1
America isn't dense like other countries that is why. People don't think when it comes to that. With that said we need to be able to sue sketchy cable companies for sure, and fix regulations. Screw monopolies. That is one thing Space X has helped for rural people. I still will take fiber if possible, but you gotta be filthy rich to run cable to your home.
1
I use to be a diehard Pizza Hut fan. Love their Mariana sauce. My first job was there too and I could use their garlic butter to make a pizza which was delicious. Also their mountain dew had extra syrup and was extra carbonated which was awesome haha. However it just all sucks now and it is STUPID expensive. Their selection sucks to boot. It just isn't the same. Dominoes did a 180 and while I still prefer pizza hut taste I usually buy from dominoes. Oh and ordering extra on anything doesn't seem to do a darn thing. Quality control is garbage.
