BS F1 bans things like the Want. Rotary isn't a design problem, but a metallurgy one. One that still isn't achievable today. Which is a shame as I love the idea of a rotary. Even the X engine which shows promise will never be anything, but niche. It doesn't fix the problems of apex seals. Therefor it still burns oil, and has like 25% the lifetime. The X engine from Liquid Piston will be for things like drones, and generators. Maybe someone will use it for an EXOSKELETON?! Yes please. Anyway, I do look forward to it, but sadly I don't think we will ever see a vehicle with one again that is produced at scale. Hopefully a Hypercar hybrid could use it.
