The issue is any improvement in ICE seems to be marginal while increasing cost and complexity. Motors are 90-98% efficent. They are improving a bit, but aren't as complex. They are balanced. The improvements come in the form of minituarization and longevity. Let us face it. Batteries are what matter. Those are rapidly improving year in and out in every metric too though. For example. CATL just said theyll be making a battery that lasts 1,000,000km with a ten year warranty. With the price not being extravagant. That is the type of improvement I think people are talking about. With that said. I want to see both improve still. That vane engine design was awesome if someone could get it to work. I want to see a revolution. Not an evolution. Where are the sci fi materials damn it? Edit. d4a also talked about a motor that does get this... 800bhp at just 52 pounds. Not sure how long it can hold that peak power before frying. Only top fuel can rival that power to weight. Yet I don't imagine an ICE engine using nitro for maximum power to weight to be a decent daily driver.

Hey would I buy it? No. Is it awesome? Yeah. E Fuel is a terrible idea wide scale. By 2035 electric cars will be good enough. Unless you're a dinosaur.

@steveg2277 Lithium is not that rare, and basically everywhere. We will not run out of Lithium in any foreseeable future. The US has recently discovered it is sitting on the biggest known lithium deposite. Nevada I think. We didn't mine lithium before, because why mess up your backyard when someone will do it for cheaper than you ever could? That is just us. There are companies trying to extract it from the ocean. You see now that Lithium is important we are investing into it. Let us not mention the fact Lithium is recyclable, along with 90% of the batteries. We are doing that now. Don't know why you all have to make things up. Or you're spreading misinformation. Either way now you know so stop continuing that lie. Lithium willlast longer than oil for humanity. Let us just say that. Same thing with power. Power demand has fallen since 2007 except 2ish years. Why would a for profit energy company make extra power? You don't invest in something declining. Now that energy is needed severely, everyone is in on it, and investing. From power storage to power producing tech (geothermal to private fusion).
