Seasonal fires, and ruminates IIRC. Remember before Europeans. Buffalo herds ran in the millions. Basically so large their dust could block the sun. When you have a large amount of certain animals like buffalo, cattle, or caribou. They will literally clear the land as they graze. They destroy any chance of forests trying to grow. Hell even goats and pigs will do that. Which blows my mind is oil. It wasn't from dinosaurs, but vegetation. At one point there literally were no microbes to break down plants! (Oh wow. This is why you should finish watching videos before commenting. They brought that up. Yeah that tid bit blows my mind.) Like what the hell did the world look during the time with a ton of dead wood on the ground without things breaking it down?! Anyway wish we let some natural fires happen. Places like Hawaii became a disaster, because they didn't let any fires happen. Making the potential for diaster even worse.

Hippos seen to be going that way and are the most dangerous animal in Africa. Still can't believe there is enough food for them. Also not so similar but pigs use to be way bigger - look at the deaodon! Know how domesticated pigs can turn feral in a month? Grow hair and tusks and become ferocious? Now imagine one that is nearly 1.7 meters tall at the shoulder coming for you and your fruit basket and will eat your bones... No thanks!
