TSCMis nothing without other companies. Japanese are ahead everyone on photo resist, American lasers/hardware/software.
ASML makes the machines for everyone, and is nothing without Carl Zeiss, a german company who makes mirrors/lenses. Some in the supply chain are years beyond their competition as well, and cannot be simply replaced.
So TSCM better make sure they don't get sidelined by photonic chips, and other technologies.
A company called Q. Ant is saying they can do what Nvidia chips do in two years in house. Making their own chips. Big claims.
TSMC better be adapting to Whatever lays beyond EUV. Everything from X Rays to Quantum/nano imprinting lithography.
These technologies can put whatever country who cracks them first beyond the EUV monopoly.
Whether that is US, China, or even Europe. China is heavily pursuing alternative techs much like they stopped focusing on making ICE cars, and leap frogged to EVs.
That is what Trump should be focusing on. He can't help, but do everything wrong.
Edit - Oh yeah, TSMC deserves everything. They work their butts off for way less money. Trumps going to slash education, and expect chips. LoL. God American leaders suck.

Yup.
TikTok is full of ignorance. Worse than YouTube, but I forget there are many young people here.
I for one am glad Bryan isn't fooled by it, and calls it out. Many people are afraid to even defend Isreal a little bit or the BS spewed.
I wish Isreal was more discriminate, and careful. I don't like their right wing government or little colonies.
Yet I choose the lesser evil to a situation where peace doesn't seem to be an option, and think it is them.
I remember any time a terrorist attack happened that the people of Gaza cheered death to America and Isreal.
I remember long ago in October when they did a mass assault, and slaughtered nearly 2,000 people. By Gaza governing body no less that admits it wants genocide.
I think any country would react the same, if not worse. Yet since it is Isreal it gets much more hate, and so much more scrutiny. I see no easy solutions to fight those who hide amongst their own populace, and use them as human shields without thought to collateral damage, and I blame Hamas for every civilian death for a war they started.
Imagine if Mexican cartels ruled Mexico and then launched a massive attack with death squads, and took 100 hostages? Mexico would regret that for a half century too.
If Palestinians could wipe out the West, and Isreal? I think the majority would vote to do so. Luckily for us all non Muslims they cannot.
Lesson here is don't attack Isreal. They will fight tooth and nail, and take more land. You think the Arabs learned this lesson in the Six Day War.

@azpont7275 Well America sucks at building ships, period. South Korea is a beast at it. We should work with them, but contractors would get pissed.
Those ships were just... Ahead of their time I think. If they started developing something similar now? It would have been great.
Also politicians flip flopping on say the Zumwalt made the ammo for the gun which was great too expensive to use.
Defense industry price gouging.
My real worries is that China and Russia get more for the buck, and pay their people less. The CCP are driven and focused, and the government since so few hold power can shift on a dime. Democracies inherently are slow.
We are so polarized too. We don't have strong or good leaders. Where is our JFK or even Regan(charisma wise, not policy).
We need to stop fighting over petty things like gender identity, or gun laws, or immigrants. In fact we should embrace immigrants and allow the educated, intelligent ones to come here to lend their ideas and expertise. That is one thing America still has - the best WANT to come here. Who the hell wants to immigrate to China or Russia as their first choice?
I think the Left and Right citizens agree we need to get money out of politics.
I'm afraid our greed, infighting, and short term sightedness without a clear agenda will cost us this cold war.
Luckily we have allies to help. People forget the entire west profits off of America's actions. Their companies do anyways.

I understood the fued. I understand war as terrible as it is.
Yet a country that can produce such monsters in such abundance shall gain no pity from me. These vile creatures whom actions were recorded by their own hands did not spring from thin air. They were given birth, raised, taught, fed, housed, and supported by a culture where it is acceptable for a dominate organization to reign. They were supported, directly, and indirectly. They turned a blind eye, and in their negligence of action allowed this hate to seether until it manifested in what we saw today.
I do not believe all cultures are just, "good", or deserve to exist the older i get. 1940s Germany was one of them, and it took the heavy handed strategies of the allies to put a stop for the future of those around them.
I do not think the creation of Palestine would make a huge impact. Therfor I will choose the lesser of two evils, because Isreal is not without blame. I just hope Isreal doesn't become worse.
Those collateral damage I attribute to Hamas for hiding amongst civilians. It is a terrible situation, and I hope the truly innocent do survive, and get assimilated into other cultures where such hateful rhetoric, and dispicble actions are not encouraged, or ignored.
If I was in a Palestinians shoes? Well I wouldn't expect mercy that is for sure, and I wouldn't keep giving strawman arguments on why it was okay or happened... It doesn't matter why it happened, and there is no justification in the world to where it makes it okay to decapitate children.
Again not all cultures deserve to exist.

Yeah I had pipe dreams myself when I was young .
Any third world power would be playing global chess just the same. It would probably pit a war between the east, and west, for its own gain or agenda to weaken both.
Xi has stated multiple times he will go to war to unite, "China". Has concentration camps. Is aggressive with nearly every neighbor on land and sea. Stealing every IP like the grabbie hands the Han are.
India, Taiwan, Philippines, Japan, Tibet, Vietnam, Mynamar, apal, and I think Bhutan and Burma have huge issues with China.
Russia has invaded Ukraine unprovoked when it tried to join NATO after they were tired of Russia interfering with their politics.
Russia never stopped expanding when the Soviets fell. Europe tried to think it would stop, and dreamed peace.
Yet right after it fell it started a war in the Czech Republic, invaded it, and then same with Georgia. Then in 2014 invaded Ukraine, and then in 2022.
Gee, no wonder why so many ex Soviet countries joined NATO. They knew how Moscow operates.
Russia has covert operations everywhere. They play the same game, but even more with manipulating everything they can through their government funded third parties.
Sorry if the rest of the world is too busy with their own dilemmas, and can hardly build a jet. Too busy trying to clean water. Let alone a modern fighter.
France, Turkey, South Korea, and Japan are all countries you speak of. Yet you think they are pawns like a Russian bot.
Nah bro, their goals align with the US, because it is pretty clear to everyone the alternatives are far far worse.
I too, use to think the US was the worse. Then I grew up and saw what Russia and China do daily, and realized the US isn't so bad. The alternatives are terrible.
TL:DR Russia and China definitely deserve the sanctions. If they chilled out no one would back the US.

So I've seen it bad in Philadelphia, at a place called Kensington. Only spent time passing through, and it is like the apocalypse.
I destroyed my liver by drinking wine, but when covid hit I switched to Vodka. Then when I went to quit I was told I had days to live. This was May. Kidneys failed due to the liver in September. Anyway so I'm no saint.
So I had an orientation with a doctor who told me most of the organs now come from Fentynal OD. Since opiates don't destroy the organs. I had to sign papers saying will I accept organs from someone who did drugs. (They test it. Under 1% chance to get a transmittal disease, and an even lower one to get one of the ones that isn't treatable.)
Anyway that shook me. Thought I would get one from an accident or something.
I see addicts walking now, and I'm like damn. One of these lost people is going to give me a chance to live. (If I live to have a ch!nice at it. Doctors say it is a miracle i just celebrated an other year. 2022, I was in the hospital for 8 out of 12 months, and 85 pounds at one point. Detoxing nearly killed me.)
Sorry for digressing. Either way I'm liberal, but those politicians are idiots. Those who all cops are just as bad.
Decriminilzing drugs worked since they had a huge social net that included mental health. Without that net, law enforcement, rules, and support? You just create a society of chaos.
Locking everyone up doesn't work. Either does this, clearly.

Extrapolate.
Because I think the only thing that matters is if the kid knows the material. Not whether they do redundant work. Putting memorization above all in the age of the internet.
How about we teach kids to weed out misinformation, yes?
When I went to school. 40% of our grade was home work. 60‰ of it was from a massive test, maybe a project, depending on class.
I aced the test with 90% or higher. Yet I only got D-, barely passing as I couldn't, and didn't do the home work.
I usually had to do extra credit the teachers gave me. They knew my home life was hell. They'd have given me a better grade if they could have for sure.
It isn't right. We should be teaching functional critical thinking for our children. Not if they remember what exact date Pearl Habor happened. They only need to know what happened, and how things from history effect us today. (I love history too.)
Do I really need to know how to do complex math if I am not going to become anything that uses it? What homochirality is?
Second language? That should be taught at a young age. Again not so important.
Critical thinking skills is what we need to focus on. Then the skills we use in daily life with technology. Banking/debt. How to pay bills. First aid. Empathy.
Then electives for kids to pursue what they love instead of forcing them to do stuff they'll never use.
Our education system is so out dated. So outdated. Needs to catch up with technology, and what we want the average person to be like.
Not shove tedious school work down their throats.
With that said you should be able to fail, and kick out problem kids. Parents use school as a baby sitter, and expect teachers to raise their children.
I worked with "special behavioral" children. If they are disruptive to the entire class. Don't want to learn. They can be kicked out.
Child Left Behind had good intentions. Terrible implementation.
Getting rid of the Board of Education, lol. Trump strikes again. He really doesn't know how to fix anything. Just says he does. Then makes it all worse with half baked ideas that aren't thought through. Board of Education needs restructuring.
Mofo already talking about raising the price cap of insulin. Now this. He isn't even President yet.
Edit. People's debt should also vanish when the Board of Education does then too, by the way. Their rates were predatory to begin with.

Yeah. I am positive gas stations don't make money off of actually selling gas, but products.
Follow their model at the very least. Although I think having it at a diner, fast food joint, Starbucks, or even a grocery store would be optimal.
No one wants to sit in some random sketchy parking lot just chilling in their car, twiddling their thumbs or pretending to drive their effin Tesla for 30 minutes.
Anywhere you can burn time for 30 minutes or so is best. Get creative.
Don't know how people who are much smarter than me thought building JUST a charging station is smart.
Welp something needs to be done. Biden, because he is smart. Just passed laws with all the other loonies to give subsidizes to more charging stations. Those incentives should help, because chargers are the only thing holding EVs back. Being a place with too few to no chargers I imagine sucks. Especially if you don't know if you have to wait in line.
EVs are already superior in many ways.
Can't wait for battery technology to get better.
To bad wireless charging at scale isn't possible. Imagine being able to charge just by sitting at a stoplight.
I seen electric buses that literally use super capicators to charge at their perspective stops. Was pretty cool. Had an automated connecter that popped up into the socket. Charged as people got on and off, and bam. Off it went.
New advances in battery and capacitor tech are only going to make EVs better. Yet it will take work, and money to make such a drastic change seeing our entire civilization basically runs on fossil fuels. It will just take time, effort, and people will adjust or adapt.

@centauri8820 Yo, that was a monolog. No need to rant. Don't #hitatme with your liberal lies. EVs are a non starter! Can you drive 1,000 miles non stop? Or go 200mph on the streets in them? Don't think so!
No seriously jokes aside. I don't understand how someone can say the performance, or economic viability isn't there when there are millions already on the road with them also taking market share incredibly fast. (Also, studies already say they are better environmentally after 30k miles give or take.)
Also, just the rate of improvement, and theortical improvement alone is staggering. If we continue this trend? Cheaper, easier to charge, lighter, more energy dense batteries year after year we will be seeing even long haul trucks take advantage of battery tech in the next five years.
If you compare EVs to ICE of the same performance? They aren't that much more expensive.
Right now costs and infrastructure are about the only bottle necks
I think the guy above, and others like him are either stuck to how EVs performed 10 years ago. Or if they lived back then, they would have fought gasoline over steam combustion. Adverse to change.
"Gah! Gasoline?! Gas stations aren't everywhere! With my trusty Steam engine car? All I need is wood, and I'm surrounded by it! Spark plugs are electronic and unreliable compared to my mechanical steam regulator!"

@Fredbats Racially we are all similar. There might be slight differences medically or biologically between races, but culture is what separates humans the most.
Even in the same country. I was told when I was eleven by an older original gangster. He said, "there is a difference between a black man, and a (I will let you finish that sentence in your head. ) or a white man, and white trash."
At first I disagreed as I was young, naive, and saw the world in white and black. Then I got older, and realized he was right. Especially since people seem to try very hard to keep stereotypes alive! I don't think what he said was racist anymore.
Onto your point. You're right, but I think naturally humans are tribalistic. That civilization has evolved faster than human instinct, and it is natural for us all to find a "tribe". We have just replaced tribes with other types of organization, that is all. Well for the most part as tribes or clans are still very much a thing. What is a nation, but a large tribe?
Simon is crazy if he thinks those attacks didn't have race involved. The severity says otherwise. It is like a white nerd walking through the ghetto getting robbed.
Sure, they wanted his valuables, but the second he walked into the place he became a target due to his race.
If the situation was reversed I don't think Simon would argue that all the attacks would have happened regardless with the severity of some.
I also think South Africa is corrupt, and has the benefit of playing down racism to the world. Yet I will believe ex patriots who talk about the countries racism that continues on.
Lemme say this about your point as well. One of the only ways humans will unite together, and put away their tribal instinct is it aliens invade the Earth.
That instantly would unite most of humanity as far as hatred goes.

@bernardomacara6284 I've also talked with others in the energy sector.
Sure there are challenges, and it will cost money, but hydrogen isn't the solution. It will be for niche uses.
Yeah, we need baseline and peaker plants, voltage support, and frequency controllers. Yet we are also already making ways to combat issues.
All the difficulties you just talked about will be fixed as issues come along like it always has. We aren't transitioning in a day. We need 22% more power if everyone in America suddenly bought an EV.
Yeah we can do that as BEVs improve.
It will be expensive. The grid is already a security risk and desperately needs modernization.
Hydrogen cars are still nonsense, and it will be niche.
By the way are you against Air Conditioning? Electric cars can draw less than a modern central A/C unit in a large home.
3,566kWh versus 1,500kWh (small house) to 4,950kwH(largder). Electric Furnaces and Electric Heaters take 3,100kwh.
It is funny that I never once in my life seen people complain about appliances ruining the grid. Yet suddenly cars will doom us all to the stone age.
BEVs plus solar and wind with nuclear just make sense.

@rosewallow2214 One. I know exactly what manifest destiny is. It is totally unrelated to what we are talking about now in modern times isn't it?
Honestly you think people were going out west for religion like some great crusade? Then you are quite something else, and have no right to talk about nuance to anyone.
People did it for the land its self. You could go out and make your own life, or even try your luck at gold. Using religion as the cherry on top and was a convenient excuse to justify their actions.
Capitalism is not created by Protestants work ethic. I won't say protestants didn't have a role to play seeing that our society stems from England, but it seemed from the dissolution of the mercantile class, and the industrial revolution.
Again what does the 18th century religious beliefs or capitalism have to do with modern Islam, and its proliferation of violence in modern times? Are you really going to defend them, and other groups like them?
Who ever brought race into this anyway? Maybe you should put down Mark Weber books, and actually learn something since Islam is not a race.
I'm part NA. Only fools bring up things centuries ago to justify their actions today. People have solid reasons for having a predilection towards disliking Islam. Christianity as a whole at least has attempted to change for the better. Islam seems to be reverting back to worse times.
By the way capitalism has uplifted more people in terms of wealth, health,, and food than any other form of socioeconomic government. We also live in the most peaceful time ever.

Cyber Truck is great for what it was designed for. What are you on about?
It is insanely fast compared to regular trucks. Steer, and ride like a dream for a truck.
Can haul some gardening soil and groceries, and a love seat. Just suburban lyfe stuff.
Has enough off road capability to get to point A to B with the right tires. Can beat sports cars at lights. Sucks at towing due to relying so much on aerodynamics for range.
I see no issue as this for a technical in a pinch or a scout if you got one available.
The future is hybrids, because they use less fuel, and the electric motor is superior to ICE in every metric just about.
How Ryan didn't understand why you'd convert fuel is crazy. Well it is because even Diesels are inefficent.
Ryan might not know this, but hybrids literally get more range with the same amount of fuel.
They also can run in stealth mode to mask noise and thermal signatures by going on battery only. They are efficent when standing by. The power to weight, and torque is basically unmatched with many motor designs. The regenerative breaking on heavy vehicles is insanely good.
Almost every state of the art vehicle is going that way. From some small tankette like drones that is a pure EV to the new Abrams X demonstrator which is a hybrid.
Batteries still aren't there yet, but electric motors are insane when it comes to power and weight with the instant, and powerful torque.
Slap a small generator in the back with the right connections, and bam. Get more range.
PS just to add. DoD is funding things like Liquid Engines X Engine for most likely hybrid use. It is a diesel rotary, and very compact. Issue right now is it can only run 1,000 hours before a rebuild. The hell!

@Kalimdor199Menegroth @Kalimdor199Menegroth The entire Kurdish population or Yhugirs would like a word with you.
Same with different tribes of Africa. We just don't care.
Honestly as far as I'm concerned. Palestine has shown their true colors.
They attack their moral enemy. I get that. They are basically at war, and have a blood fued. Isreal is not completely blameless with their heavy handedness, and settling shenanigans.
However what do the Palestinians first do when they capture cities, and have a victory? They drag soldiers bodies through the street. They start killing civilians in their homes. Get out their cameras, and gang rape women. Yet violating them in such a brutal manner isn't enough is it? No they cut off the limbs, and decapitate them, and drag their corpses as trophies. They take children, and cut their heads off in front of their mothers. Children damn it.
All while praising Allah in fanatical glee.
A culture that can produce such monsters? A peolple who produced, fed, housed, and supported them either directly or indirectly. They turn a blind eye to their antics, and hate speech. They try justifying these actions that others made them do it. Well a culture like that gets no pity from me.
Some cultures just don't deserve to exist. Better to be assimilated or nationalized.
Isreal on the other hand cannot exist as a peaceful country, due to the sheer hate of it just existing. It is an affront to the Arab world. So I understand why they do what they do.

@dr.chimpanz.1324 That isn't a problem. It is a very beautiful thing allowing anyone to create things without relying on others. AI is a tool to open up that door, and make it much easier to produce things.
I don't care if it makes someones skills outdated not valuable to everyone.
Now it opens up more doors, and ideas for everyone. Not just those who dedicated lives to Master a this or that.
What intellectual jobs do you speak of, because people have been going after other forms of work for the longest time. Machines replaced craftsman, and laborers. Good that we have a tool to replace "creative" people now. We are getting robots and self driving cars too.
And I disagree it will get rid of the actual creative people. Their stuff will still be valued by others. Art is valued based on human skill.
It only gets rid of the grunt work. Helps make things for less, and faster.
Jobs for the sake of jobs is a selfish, and doesn't work out. Keeps countries poor.
Soon you or I will be able to make our own games, movies, and music, programs, research, simulations, etc all in way way less time.
We just need to change our society to fit this new power. Capitalism, and Communism which focus on labor will become as outdated as fuedalism if we survive.

@Shako_Lamb Certain old houses can have a lot of toxic random things in them as well. Heavy metals/asbestos.
Some places like my town are pretty strict on what you can do when you buy the historic houses. My boss tried getting one to split into a restaurant down stairs. Town played along then said no the house cannot be modified like that. The list of what she can do was pretty short just period. Lots of houses will be kept up, simply because they are considered historical.
Anyway yeah of course poor people like me will save onto their old stuff! My house needs so much electrical/heating work as the boiler quit. Just can't fix anything as I became ill. So we do what we can.
When I say survivorship bias. I'm talking about the people who think all the old stuff is so superior. They routinely are only focused on the touristy buildings really. Or ones whove had work and care put into it. Ones suffering from the Ship of Thesis question, lol. (Is it an old house when the entire inside has been remodeled).
They don't think of all the slums, and ghettos that use to be. The decrypted apartments too unsafe to keep before regulations. Ones that burnt down. They completely ignore the ugly crappy buildings that were built. Or don't think of things like 1780 out houses, and tiny cabins.
I've only seen a handful of red brick buildings I liked. Matter of taste though. Just ugh, really guys? Put up a facade, or cheap siding even. Hah, JP.
With that said. What really bugs me about modern buildings is we have the tech to make them super insulated, safe, and durable. Ones that can generate, and store power! Then you got developers making entire neighborhoods of such crappy quality.
Yet I would still argue overall we make much better things for more people.
I forgot what we were talking about. I'm out of it so sorry Head of time, but hope anyone reading this has an amazing New Year's. Cheers.

Nothing is truly green. The fact they blow ICE out of the water performance wise, with the exception of top speeds that are basically lap car only.
What is funny is even after everything you listed. Report after report says EVs are greener.
Cobalt is being phased out, and isn't used in many EVs.
Chemicals? Yeah, because drilling and refining oil is SOOO clean?
To produce the lithium needed for a 64 kWh battery pack, for example, Fichtner stated that about 3840 liters of water are evaporated according to usual calculation methods. This is roughly comparable to the production of 250 grams of beef, 30 cups of coffee, or half a pair of jeans, according to the researcher.
Mining is getting better too. One of the issues specifically with lithium was WHO was mining it. China and Chille don't really have or follow regulations, and didn't care.
Now that countries who do care about their backyards are going to be mining for these materials. Expect the cost environmentally to drop. Especially with so many researchers getting funding from both private and governments for better, and more efficient practices.
Let us not mention EVs already last 100k more miles. Some say the EVs made today can double that before the battery isn't practical.
Mind you these metals can also be recycled. You cannot recycle burnt gas!
EVs are the future. In five to ten years even semis will be using them.
Oh let us not forget the geopolitical and security nenefits of decoupling from gas countries like Russia and the Middle East.

AI allowing anyone to program, video games, music without years of training is a good thing.
Some of you hate AI, because it will make your labor irrelevant. Which is a good thing. I don't want to hire people to do labor when I do not have to.
Nearly all these studies he listed are studying peoples lack of skills on... Newly outdated skills?
It doesn't matter how you get to the destination as long as you made it there quicker, and safely.
Why are scientist judging people on old skills is beyond me. Perhaps we should also do studies on if people can farm or hunt small game since those skills were important back in the day too.
What is the difference between a teen asking AI for advice once it becomes good over their friends?
You all do not remember your friends terrible advice back in school? Not every kid even has smart guardians to ask.
Then last but not least. The law is so damn convoluted it is criminal. It is criminal we need to pay specialist who went to school for years just to be able to defend ourselves.
AI lawyers will give power back to the poor. Again once kinks work out.
Will future lawyers on average be dumber due to it? Yeah, because you don't need to be a special person in order to be successful.
In my opinion. Medical advances are ruining the gene pool, and the future will be closer to Gataca once we start enhancing people genetically. Unless the ludite conservatives win.
Consumerism isn't why people are becoming dumber. It has been around for a long time.
Social media, lack of education on critical thinking skills, misinformation, and the rise of anti intellectuals is the issue. Parents letting their kids watch Tate or the Paul Brothers, or Kardashians .
The world is changing so fast we don't know how to keep up. Laws, and advice on how to handle it are non existent.
Our culture was not prepared. Founding Fathers had no idea about the incoming tech, and didn't think free fpeech would allow politicians puppeted by billionaires to lie 24/7 over a thing we held in our hand.
So I'm blaming those. Our education needs to teach critical thinking skills over memorization in an ever changing world with zero experience to pull from, and laws governing misinformation need to be put into place.
You all can blame Nike, and Temu ads.

@tedwong7037 Absolutely. I didn't say America can make the best stuff on its own.
In fact. Trumps going to ruin America with his poorly thought out strategies, and isolationism. It is a global world, with global corperations, getting the best of the best, and not the 1950s.
No country can make a 2nm chip on its own.
Trump slashes education while thinking that will improve anything.
America says they have Intel. Intels primary computer engineers designing the chips for example are in Israel, and Intel is a failing company.
Yet when people say Taiwan is the one doing everything. No. TSMC is like a craftsman. They don't make the tools, but are the most skilled with it. They give ideas, and make some specialized parts or have trade secrets. Their gap is 2-3 years ahead.
Yet both ASLM and TSMC do rely on America, Japan, Europe, and even China.
I am so furious with Republicans. Bending the knee to American corperations who can't compete in god damn anything. Pushing outdated tech from EVs to gas plants.
This is the fall of America. This presidency. Their choices. Backing Russia over Europe. I hope Europe straight up screws us, and Red states like they were planning.

@krazytroutcatcher Some of you are partying like it is 1999 still, or some of you think that Smart Phones are new technology, hah.
EVs are here if you haven't noticed.
The thing about batteries? They are getting cheaper, safer, charge faster, getting lighter, and holding more power. Then compared to fuel cells they will give more power, and have lower volumetric density then hydrogen.
Oh EVs are safer in crashes, and so much more reliable than the ICE. Less maintence too.
Sure they burn worse, but they also catch fire less. Burning is burning.
ICE is dead in the water. You'll need more and more complicated crap to get any miniscule improvement.
We have solid state batteries coming out which are a leap toward. Then lithium Air chemistry is the future, and will have the potential to be ten to fifty times better than current batteries as I write this.
Oh with pure EVs? If you had the money you can charge off the grid at your home. No need to worry about gas stations running out of gas every time some disaster might happen. Or gas prices going up daily. There are people with solar trailers who will go camping, hunting, and fishing and charge their vehicle in the sun while they fish all day.
Also if you guys think mining and battery companies are somehow more evil then oil and hydrogen companies? Well you're smoking some of that good stuff, because they are ALL greedy and ALL want all of your money.
By the way lithium is everywhere. Mining it is also getting easier and less of a hazard. There are companies working on extracting it from sea water.
But hey don't buy an EV. Personally I like them because they blow ICE out of the water. I dont need to drive 10 hours straight daily without breaks like apparently you guys do.
Will be blowing by you guys in your ICE soon.

@SebastianRosca The military disagrees.
You are absolutely right that 28nm chips can do most of the jobs, but it isn't ideal.
Having smaller more powerful chips are amazing for the upcoming tech.
Why? EW, sensors, and radar amongst AI, AI wingman, and especially drones.
The amount of information being processed by even more powerful sensors will be astounding, and you'll need a more powerful chip for all the data while keeping total packaging small. Also they use less power too.
Sams goes for EW suites.
The USAF is pushing hard for AI Wingman to fly that are superior to human pilots. That will require an insane computer to run, and keep cool.
The future is small drones that can fly autonomously together navigating the world in formation, all while taking information in for targetting. Working together as one to identify those targets, and the best way to destroy them.
I don't have to type why miniaturization of chips is a good thing for that. You'll need smaller, but more importantly lighter chips for them to fly further with more space dedicated to payload.
Then at home you have huge super computers for research and development. For information gathering.
Also more precise navigation is possible with faster chips which is a good thing when GPS gete knocked out by brute forcing.
Anyway I can keep going on. Remember miniaturizing helps ALL the advanced technologies like sensors and radar. It isnt just CPUs that benefit.
So Russia is years behind, and just had an extraordinary amount of brain drain happen. Millions of educated people with the cash left the country at the start of the war, and during the draft. It is actually insane, because they already had a huge demographic issue.
Speaking of that. Fun fact. During the 80s over 25 to as high as 40% of Soviets tax revenue came from VODKA depending on source.
Their death rate is extremely high due to alcoholism during the Soviet era where the average citizen spent 20-40% of their paycheck in Vodka.
When the Soviets tried to cut people off? They lost that portion of their budget, straining the economy even worse, and some say that was a good part to why the Soviet Union collapse!
It got worse after the collapse. After that the Russua federation tried to do something again, but the citizens turned to worse drugs. So they stopped it in the 2010s.
Look up Polymatters video on Russias population decline. Just watched it. It was interesting as I didn't realize how bad it was.

This isnt a fault of coke or even capitalism. It is the fault of the Mexican government.
Seriously the local and federal government are responsible for clean water. They don't even have enough sense to make a sewer plant, and complain about water usage? Sounds like they are corrupt.
Are people of Mexico so dumb, and ignorant, that they don't know soda is bad? I am sure they are as smart as us, and know better.
You all act like they are forced to drink it. They aren't. They have options. Mexicans have very tasty other options for sure.
Coke to me is nasty. They have done some horrible things, but everything in this video. I shouldn't have to defend them, but everything posted in this video is either the governments, and peoples fault.
The real problem in today's society is that no one takes responsibility for their own situation, or actions. It is always something else, huh?
Like how I was told, like my father. Put down the bottle.
Maybe vote for people who will actually make a water treatment plant. That is bare minimum stuff for a government.

Old eugenics? Yes! Absolutely!
They tried using science to prove whites were superior, lol. So it has a nasty connotation.
New/Neo Eugenics is the modern school of thought we should use genetic engineering to improve the genepool, and humans.
Target certain genetic disorders, and things like allergies at first. Outright make superior humans second. Basically modify someone before and after birth.
Medical advances have let people reproduce when they probably would not have. It is a great thing, but they are spreading certain disorders like it or not. Or gene pool is being degraded. We all have inhereted something not so good right? Well with GE we can eventually change that.
Neo eugenics thinks we should fix any negative condition we can, and improve the gene pool. I think genetic engineering is the future of humanity anyway. (Including nano tech, and cybernetics.)
So I am liberal, and I am for neo eugenics if it matters. Elon just seems like an outright racist, and Nazi.
PS. Neo Eugenics is all about making humans healthier, smarter, and stronger. It really has nothing to do with the political or societal impacts. (Or shouldnt. )
Yet people hear the word eugenics, and link it to Nazis.
Well no one should force it on others. At the same time, it is for all races, and people's.
We just need to make it affordable to everyone.
Personally please sign me up for genetic engineering testing to live longer, be smarter, or stronger! I'll take the chance if there is like even a 10% chance ill regress back into a salamander.

Fighting your enemy? I'm not pro war, but I get it. It is a sad truth about human nature. All cultures surviving today, have done so through blood and conquest.
I get the fued too. People are born into the cycle of hate, and both sides have done things to perpetuate it. Isreal is not completely blameless in this cycle.
Yet the the first thing Hamas does after taking over the cities? They take their cameras, and start showing their victory by desecrating corpses. Standing over the corpses, and firing into the air wasn't enough to fill their blood last. Oh no no- they have to drag them through the street with ecstatic fervor while shouting praises to Allah.
They then video tape themselves gang raping women. Then cutting off their heads and limbs just to drag them through the street. Like the utter violation before their death wasn't enough.
They are taking anyone who isn't Palestinian, and keeping them hostage. Most likely to be killed.
Then the worse is that they are killing children.
I don't have a single ounce of pity or remorse for Palestinians anymore. They apparently have a culture where these acts are okay if it is your enemy. They have raised, fed, housed, and supported people who have this in them. They probably have encouraged it or looked the other way as well.
And you know what? I can't say I'm 100% shocked by such acts from them.
There is no justification that will sway my opinion. The people of Palestine have showed their true colors, and I hope those colors and flag never rise again after Isreal is done with their retribution.
I wish I wasn't agnostic. That way a part of me would believe these people would get their dues in this life or the next.

Minimal cost? You act like you can put hydrogen in your gas tank, hah.
High pressure tanks of 700 BARS plus are expensive, bulky, can't be formed into different shapes, and still carry something like 22 liters...
Then you have the cost of infrastucture. Yeah have fun going from power plant, hydrogen plant, shipping hydrogen to station, vehicle going to station, then using hydrogen.
Instead of just power plant to vehicle. Hell people can use their own solar or wind to power their cars. People already have solar trailers towed by their trucks to power their vehicles while camping. Can hook up power tools to them too or use them as a generator with some of the new EV trucks.
Then you have the electrical strain on the grid which will be MUCH worse. Hydrogen takes a ton of electricity at the moment to separate it from water.
If people think billions of EVs will be a problem on the grid. Then Hydrogen will be double the strain at least!
Batteries are rapidly progressing. Hydrogen is stuck by physical limitations by physics. There will never be a solution to hydrogens volumetric density problems, and fuel cells will never be as efficient as batteries to motors.
Companies have recently made lithium air batteries. Those will be ten to fifty times better then the batteries we have today. Solid state batteries are coming out this year. Batteries will become quicker to charge, be more power dense, lighter, and safer.
There is no real infrastructure for hydrogen, and there will probably never will be. It will be a niche product.
Which sucks. I wanted hydrogen to succeed. Until I learned the physical limitations, and theoretical limits. I still cross my fingers for some science break through with space age magic nano tech.
Fun fact about hydrogen. Water holds more hydrogen in a given volume by a ton compared to just pure liquid hydrogen! Doesn't make sense.

Maybe just maybe, because a lot of the people in it are in fact racist? It is like MAGA. Not all MAGA are racist, but there are a lot in it who are.
With that said the insane one is that guy saying the West or richer countries owe them something essentially. That we have responsibility.
Absolutely not. Not a single country on earth has any obligation to bring in, and help others. We give aid and loans to help.
How about they all fix their countries before coming to ours, instead of bringing their baggage. When conflict is over they can get sent back. All the useless ones who didn't assimilate can pack their bags.
Clearly these people aren't welcomed any longer. Geez, I wonder why. Maybe because the West and fundamentalism doesn't mesh, but that is just me.
If a country was full of Christian Baptist fanatics zealots, wielding snakes. I wouldn't want them immigrating to my country bringing that form of practice here either.
Anyway you, I, and them have no rights to waltz in, and call other people's homes ours. Maybe they didn't teach that in Islam, and why it is always in conflict.
The older I get the more prejudice I get, I swear. I think Europe has met its obligations on refugees, and enough is enough.
15% of your population being immigrants is enough.

I am a liberal mutt. Part native American, and also don't agree.
Honestly people who destroy history are ignorant, naive, and just wrong. I can't really grasp the words at the moment yet it is nearly hypocritical.
We are all descendants of conquerors. We all have blood from our ancestors hands whether you like it or not. There is not one culture left alive today that didn't expand through conquest, rape, burning, pillaging, and of course murdering.
We should look at them not with pride. Yet look at them and realize how far we have progressed. Destroying history is a bad idea as we often repeat it when we forget it. Statues last a lot longer than human memory does that is for certain.
I doubt few people look at a statue of Lee and say, "Ah yes. This statue was built for him due to owning slaves."
The statue was built as he was a damn good general and held off the more powerful Union time after time. Even though he was an enemy of "my side" I can still respect that aspect of him while denouncing slavery as a whole.
As for slavery? Few cultures didn't have it. Why don't we ever bring up the fact black people were also making fortunes off slavery as well. Many African tribes would go to war, and sell captured enemies to Europeans. The biggest hurdle to the black community in America are themselves today. Everyone knows it yet it isn't politically correct to say that.
Native Americans? My people were warriors - they weren't some peace loving hippies living one with nature. They were murdering each other, and scalping bitches way before any white men came. We fought and we lost mainly due to disease, and the fact we weren't united. It happened over a century ago - need to stop blaming Europeans for our current situation too.
White people are also guilty for guilt tripping. Your ancestors did what most civilizations do - grow up.
We need to start thinking of the future without forgetting the past. What matters is how we act today and tomorrow. If a statue triggers you then go see a therapist since you are obviously emotionally damaged. Are you so much of a snowflake you cannot handle the truth?

I wanna know is. When people say they have an internal monologue. Does that mean actual full sentences non stop?
Like I can visualize in my minds eye. I can talk to myself in even didferent voices.
Yet at the same time I don't need either to function, remember, or do tasks. When I go do the dishes I might just say "do it lazy." Picture my sink, then go and do it. Then while I'm doing it start thinking in partial words, snap shots, or more likely than not. Flowing songs in my head while thinking in pictures.
This is most obvious when in a flow state playing a sport or instrument. I don't need to visualize to catch the ball, or run and juke. Or start flowing notes that come to me in the moment when jamming on an instrument.
Hard to explain, but do you guys really need to say everything out loud (in your head) everything you gotta do?
And for those who only think visually. Do you constantly always have to visualize everything?
My mom has Aphantasia. So she only has an inner monologue. She says she thinks she can visualize when she dreams.
I find that interesting as I can have incredible dreams where I have an entire made up life with a stranger. Know their name, our relationship, and even have a job I don't have in real life.
I love my mind. I can make entire movies in my head. You'd think that means I could remember stuff better, but it doesn't. My mind is filled with random shyte.
Also it is so hard for me to make my mind blank.

Exactly. Yeah let us give our kids food that they won't eat.
One? There is nothing wrong with high calorie and high protein food. It is the amount people eat. Stop attacking the food; but the habit or frequency.
Secondly there is nothing wrong with getting vegetables from sauce. Sauce is literally crushed vegetables FFS. They give you apple sauce in the hospital. Sauces, and condiments have a ton of calories, and nutrition sometimes too.
Give the kid a vitamin if you're worried about nutrition anyway. Or feed them something else when at home, and everyone has time to cook.
Me? When I was a kid I wish I was rich enough to get a pizza lunchable daily. Better then the bad apple you guys seem to want to shove down peoples throats.
Yeah let us produce food kids will just toss. That is the spirit! Surely will help the earth. It will be organic with no preseveratives so that way it will take extra resources, and not last long as long! Great thinking.
Lunchable pizza have helped me tremendously this year. I'm dying from Liver and Kidney disease without a transplant. No appetite, and always puking when I tried eating.
Well earlier this year I found out my body could handle pizza lunchables. (The non kids one without desert or drinks).
I do not know why, but my body would not reject them. One apple, and one lunchable, plus 90٪ protein, and 2 ounces of Kefir changed my life around.
Eating something high in calories and protein is better then not eating at all.
I already will feel for your kids. They are going to be the kids that snuck junk food since they never got it, and became fat rhe second they became adults since they were never taught how to balance their diet.

@Anonymoose66G Agreed, but it is really expensive even if you find the right place. As you said, Iceland, Hawaii, Japan, or anywhere on a fault line is required usually at the moment without it being exorbitant.
Free heating, cooling, and power all in one is hard to beat though. I hear they last for a long time as well with almost not maintenence, but don't quote me.
I've been seeing a lot of start up trying to make it available anywhere, and if they combine that with the new mining technology that allows one to mine deeper, quickly, and for cheaper? Well that would be game changing. There is a new laser/plasma mining tool for example that would allow it, but I guess it is only used after a certain depth for some reason.
My dream home would have a hot spring on the land, on top of hill/cliff, or mountains, with a beautiful forest, haha. I'm curious on how much value having a hot spring would add to your property value.
Just gotta win the lottery. Oh, and get a double transplant.

I hate both the pro EV and anti EV crowd.
Fossil fuel to power plant to EV will always be more efficent. He purposely skipped that I feel like as he rarely misses anything.
There are so many steps for us to get gas in our cars which are only 25٪ efficent. EVs eliminate a lot of those steps for one, and power plants are much more efficent at using the Fossil Fuel we do pull.
Renewable power only became cheaper recently, and newer technologies promise to lower those numbers even further. So expect that number to rise sharply for any new power generation.
So of course the number is low at the moment, but expect that to rise as needed.
Third the grid needs an overhaul already. So it already needs money regardless, and beefing it up with newer technologies to handle the influx of EVs isn't a giant leap. If everyone in America drove an EV today? We would need around 35% increase in power generation which is not a small number. Luckily for us no one is asking for us to hand in the keys today.
The reason why it makes sense to get off ICE is due to efficiency on how we use that fuel.
No it won't be totally green, but some will.
Batteries are getting cheaper, hold more charge, charge faster, getting lighter, use less harmful resources, and taking less space.
Lithium Air chemistry which has recently been cracked has the potential to be 10 to 50 times better for kwh/kg. That is enough to make electronic planes for anything, but intercontinental flight possible.
ICE is pretty much maxed out and won't be getting significantly better.
I would like to see series hybrids for niche applications and military. Oh and gas for intercontinental flights.

@polysporin8332 Those students aren't getting jobs, and don't want to work in the factory making consumer goods. Unemployment is really bad there. So bad that the CCP stopped publishing it.
It is sort of insane that China hasn't taken number 1 due to their population. I mean, they basically have the same population of the US, and EU combined.
They have the resources, and don't care about the environment. They only invest in green for security reasons to decentralize the grid, but for every huge solar farm there is a new coal plant.
The Demographics will catch up, and the lack of enviromental health will compound that as the effects of having toxic crap strewn everywhere catches up on their aging population.
Anyways that will just slow them. Again, their population, and control of resources means they have all the advantages.
EU, and NA will need to invest in to robots, giga presses, 3d printing, mines/supply chain if they ever want to compete.
Yet like the other person said. Virtues with unicorn policies will hold the EU back. Can't save the planet, produce, and consume, at the same time really while trying to be number 1.

This is crazy. I've been obsessed with Series Hybrids - hybrids where the ICE is just a generator for the last month.
EVs suck in one majior way. Weight! I mean batteries are heavy, and not good enough to build a light car.
With this you get the benefits of the EV with the instant insane torque, light as hell reliable motor, but have the range of an ICE.
What engine though would be the best? I kept seeing new engine designs from the Omega, Aquarius, to the Liquid Piston rotrary which promise tons of HP in a small package...
That is when I remembered turbines are the best generators as far as I know.
I even asked on Reddit why series hybrids aren't more common.
Anyway a few weeks later I find out this, and one other company have already tried!
Ariel however is well known for an insanely fast, light, sports car which is exactly what I was thinking this type of set up would just be perfect for until batteries can become better.
Anyway awesome job, and I hope they work on it more. I hope more car companies take their hand at it as I'm not sure how good Ariel is at either EVs or Turbines.
Anyway my first thought was... A rotrary would be great for a series hybrid. Mazda should go all in.
They have with their MX 5 concept, but I'm not sure if it has insane performance like I was hoping for.
Turbines are loud as hell, haha. Not exactly something you want to daily drive.

I was considered as good as dead in 2022 when I went to go quit drinking for about 4 years. Before then I drank a handful times a year.
I went from drinking wine as a server with guests. To a glass of wine to be better at my job, to a glass sleeping. Or when stressed.
That placed closed. So then I eventually switched to a shot of vodka. Covid hit while I worked at a pharmacy, and I got supet sick from that. No gloves or mask!
Anyway eventually had enough went to quit. Was sent from the detox to the ER where I was told I had basically days or a week max to live. After a year of being in the hospital I got out.
Can't beleive I celebrated 2025. I was a functional alcoholic till about the last year.
Mind you I did drink a lot for my body weight by the end with a liter of vodka a day chasing it with box wine.
Drinking isnt worth it. I generally beleived I only had some damage, and I could drink for twenty years as I've known many alcoholics.
I use to hate doctors. Now it is a full time job seeing em. All the symptoms I self medicated for are worse with many new ones.
My liver disease caused my kidneys to fail. My organ failure is putting stess on my cardiovascular. I cannot work due to issues like dangerous blood pressure. I do not urinate. I do not like food, and it is a struggle to eat.
Most of all I am like an eldery patient now, and broke. Dying is expensive. I am useless to others, and still need help sometimes.
With that said I am greatful to be alive even if it is a pathetic existence.
I didnt care when the doctors told me the news. I rolled with. Yet seeing my mom get the news that day will forever scar me for being such a selfish prik. Could not even hug her saying it would be alright.
Heck for the longest time I was too weak to get on a transplant list.
Doctors have no idea why I am alive. I am exceedingly told it was rare for anyone to survive, and somehow improve.
Listen to me. There are better ways. Alcohol is not the cause of your problems. It is your off the shelf treatment to deal with your problems.
Find a doctor or help that can guide you. You really gotta search. Lots of bad ones, but finding good ones is life changing.
I use to think I was the healthiest as I worked the hardest, and longest. Nah, I worked my body into the ground.

@svr5423 Sorry about the other post. I couldn't see the read more as it loaded blank at first, and now I can't see my comment to delete it.
What do you mean we had lithium batteries since the 90s?
Yeah, and the first transistor was made in 1947. What does that mean?
Technology improves. I can't link any, but if you look at battery density, weight, and cost charts. Everything is improving dramatically. We already have 750kwh/kg batteries coming, and solid state batteries in production cars this year.
While volumetric density for hydrogen is not improving. Is it? Can't beat physics. That is my issue.
Charging times are improving significantly.
Batteries can charge in around 25 minutes now, so 20 minutes longer without the fear of leaking. You know what I see when I go outside? A power grid! I don't see hydrogen infrastructure anywhere.
I can also charge at home. Charge with a solar panel, or wind. I can charge for pennies on the dollar.
Thing is pure EVs are just good enough for 80% of the population already, and give it five years for batteries to be good enough for other applications.
Cost plus infrastructure is what holds most people from buying an EV right now. Hydrogen has no infrastructure at all, and costs way more to run, and maintain, and purchase.
So basically all you have here is some weight and time to fuel up. Yet WEIGHT! ✋ The weight part isn't even true..
The Toyota Mirai weighs 4,335lb, and the Tesla Model 3 weighs 3,528lb, and Model S 4,766lb.
That is with way less total cargo space by the way. So uh, my original point stands. I don't know about you, but 50% or more of my vehicles space being taken up is just stupid.
Let us not forget how dumb it is to turn electricity into hydrogen just to transport it twice, to and fro, then get it just to turn it back into electricity.

In Connecticut around 2006, when flip phones with crappy cameras were still a thing.
Just like Alex, a friend and I saw the Tr3-B at 11pm at night time. It caught my eye, because we could see the silhouette in the sky, hovering, but no noise.
I had my friend turn off the car engine. Nothing.
It had 3 lights on the corner, and a weird reddish one in the middle. Reminded me of a red marble reflecting light out.
It hovered for about 5 minutes plus one or minus before just heading off like a bullet with nearly no acceleration. Went north over the horizon in seconds, before popping out east a second later.
No human can take those Gs! That was what really made us think WTF.
It is very difficult to judge sizes high up in the air at night. So it wasn't till Alex released his story before I realized it was actually big, and high up.
I sort of thought it was, but could never confirm. It could have been small, and completely silent.
It is crazy both Alex, my friend and I saw it in Connecticut. Not sure if our timelines were similar.
Anyway I type this to just hope that was one of ours, lol. I personally not jumping to conclusions like my friend did.
Whatever it was I hope it was America's. I also hope no human was in that aircraft, because my god. It just seemed to whizz off more than fly off.
The turn/bank from North to East must've been like a right angle!

Can't blame the politicans when half our country is full of people who's red neck identity is rolling coal in an inferior truck. Literally blocking any legislation for our government to support the inferior tech.
EVs are the superior technology in every way except range.
EVs now, with solid state, and 500w/kg batteries. Will finally rival the weight of an ICE.
Electric motors are more powerful, can last 100k plus longer, better for enviroment, less routine maintenence, instant torque, inherently balanced, less parts, 80 times less likely to catch fire, and EVs weight distribution is superior.
I'd rather split the country then have these southern red state rejects get most of the taxes, and define us in blue states.
I hope the day comes.

A friend and I saw an aircraft/UFO that I later found out looks similar to something called the Tr3-B. Look it up.
It was Groton Connecticut 2006ish. It hovered silently for 5 minutes in the night sky where I could see the silhouette, and lights. 3 lights each corner with one weird one in the middle.
After 5 minutes of us being like what is that. It took off like a bullet suddenly. Not a rocket or aircraft. I saw no plume or heard anything.
It headed north before heading over the tree line, and then suddenly popped out heading east. That turn must have been HARD. It was only out of sight for a moment!
Then it went over the horizon. The entire process took under 10 seconds from hovering to over the horizon.
We could never figure out if was small, and silent. Or large, and high up. Yet just last year Sandboxx news Alex Hollins told his story of seeing one too which is just insane. He is a respected journalist. He said it was massive!
I cannot explain that, and I won't. My friend says aliens, or dimensional beings. I don't know about that.
I think Alex, my friend, and I saw the same thing. Yet I can't be certain if Alex saw a different craft.
I swear by this story. Things like that make me agnostic life, and my friend crazy, lol. I just hope it is ours. Never seen any real UFO again sadly.

Sure. For new cars EVs are the way to go. Battery recycling is getting a ton of investment, and some facilities are already up and running.
He surprisingly skipped one thing. Refining gas to burn into electricity at a power plant is so much more efficent then refining it. Compared to shipping it everywhere to gas stations, and using it in ICE which are incredibly inefficient compared to electrical motors.
So using what we do pull from the earth wisely is what we should be doing yeah? Well EVs are the best solution for that by far.
Secondly renewable only recently became cheaper than fossil fuels. The technology actually still has inprovement too, so it will get cheaper.
We can turn old fossil fuel plants into nuclear too by the way, reducing the exorbitant price on that. We really should push nuclear anyway.
Sure changes to infrastructure would have to happen. Yet our grid needs an overhaul in America anyway so we might as well beef it up.
Charging? Well the market and government will find a solution to this. Yeah cities will have chargers like how they have parking meters, but whatever.
Cities should focus on getting cars out of the denser areas, and making them bike friendly, and easy to not need a vehicle.
None of these are even insurmountable. We could do it in two decades if we focused on it.
Battery chemistries like solid state are here, and lithium air are on the horizon which offer potential increases in energy density ten to fifty times more at half efficiency! With those even Electric Planes will be a no brainer except for intercontinental flights.
They are becoming cheaper, hold more charge, charge faster, lighter, use less space, more reliable, and last longer...
ICE doesn't have much of a future.
So with all that said it is a no brainer to get off fossil fuels for us regular plebs ASAP.
For long haul trucking? Trains! Ha yeah right.
Series hybrids! (Where the ICE is a generator). No idea why only start ups like Edison Motors are doing it.
He disappointed me by skipping the power plant efficiency part. He is always thorough.
Oh screw anti EV and super pro EV crowd too.
EVs have issue like cost, and charging. Yet let us be realistic. Most of us don't drive hours straight every day. God forbid people get inconveinced for having to sit for 20 to 45 minutes to charge.
PS this guy online has solar and wind at home. Also has a solar trailer, and a portable wind generator. Once he gets his Tesla Truck (when lol)) he plans to go camping, charging his truck plus whatever when he goes fishing, hunting, or camping.
Anyway anti EV or pro ICE are just as bad as the anti ICE. Both extremist are annoying.
Me? I'm for whatever technology makes sense, and ICE really doesn't as batteries continue to improve which saddens me.

Luckily we have something called training! Doing red flag exercises against our allies with all types of situations really helps give us a measure on how to fight, and we can even mimick our enemies due to us gathering intelligence on them.
The F 15EX would not be going up against anything alone. What it lacks, others will make up for.
Right now I see it as a the ultimate attack craft, with the best 4.5 gen capabilities.
China is catching up, especially with all the leaks. So I am not sure how long we will have an advantage.
Anyway we would not be sending F 15s out near Chinas mainland, unless we gained air superiority, and destroyed most ground threats. Most we would attack with them is their ports.
We have other aircraft to attack Chinas air space.
I have no doubts it will be the best 4.5 fighter. The question is if it is good enough for the price? Is the price worth it.
I don't even think the USAF brass wanted the F15ex! They wanted more fifth gen, but Secretary of Defense, or Congress basically changed their budget plans.
After seeing the cost of it, and how dangerous China is. I agree with them.
If the cost was low I would agree, but they are more than the F35! Truly ridiculous.

Listen I have a way for you to get free medical, and never have to work a day for the rest of your life! Seriously, I want to share my story. That is it.
Anyway, drink a bottle of vodka a day during a pandemic. 750ml, of the cheap stuff. Just wake up, take a few shots. Chase with wine like I did, because vodka just tastes like watered down isopropyl.
You will feel great doing it for a long time, but you can't be drinking forever. That would make you an alcoholic, which you aren't. You need to be mentally addicted for that, but you're doing this for medical. So you aren't actually an alcoholic. Yet just pretend to be one anyway.
You go into the detox once you start to feel real crappy. Well the doctor will now diagnose you with end stage liver disease! Oh no! How will you ever afford your bills!
Don't frett my friend. After the news, you can now go to the social security office. This will allow you to get onto state and federal insurance. Since you cannot work you can also get a check monthly, and food stamps!
Success! Yes! You now have free money, and free insurance! Whoop whoop! You can now live the rest of the five years without worrying about any of that nonsense. Buy scratch tickets or something.
Also your kidneys might go too. Now you need two organs! If you want to live long you have to be sober for many years, and survive, while doctors tell you that you will die in three days.
Anyway there. Go out there.

@wilmeroberg9794 Like I said, NLaw for urban combat if there are no fire lines. Which is why you don't set up in a place you can't use it, duh. Even urban areas have lines further than 65m.
65m is way closer than you want any tank with their support to be.
Javelin for nearly every scenario except these specialized ones you keep bringing up.
CLU can last up to 4 hours depending on ambient tempature, and batteries can be changed. Not as good in higher tempatures. Either way I've been told by two vets they've used it to check vehicles out when they couldn't identify them multiple times, and to just scan noises in forests.
The new CLU has 50% more battery life. 70% smaller, and is 40٪ lighter. So it will get even better.
Yeah, ill take that. Worry about these ninja silent tanks that can teleport under 65m of my position later that you are so worried about.
I mean you'd have to wait for a tank platoon to be on top of you, and can miss if you don't lead correctly with a NLAW.
I could have fired, and retreated before the missile hit to set up for an other shot Maybe my mate would then destroy an other helicopter with a Javelin as I retreat. Since they can do that too, and destroyed a Ka52.
Short of cost, minimum range and weight. Javelin is better. Four times the range. Guided. Three times bigger warhead for better direct fire. Optics. Fire and forget.

@paul1979uk2000 The only accountability that should be focused on is personal responsibility of the viewer learning to digest information. Or teach critical thinking.
What are we now? China? People say lies, or are racist, or say things some don't like and we shut it down?
Just ignore it. Like we have since the dawn of the internet. Racists have been online since I remember back in 96.
I think getting a grasp on what the other side is thinking is a good thing.
Twitter didn't start those riots. It was just a spark, and the story being untrue or true doesn't matter. It would have happened anyway.
People are clearly getting fed up with all these immigrants who don't want to assimilate, want hands out, and raise crime rates.
That is giving the right wing more leverage across Europe, and the left is doing absolutely nothing about it except turning the other cheek. Acting like those people's plight should be our responsibility, and that people who disagree don't matter. So they shrug those people off, ban them, call them racist, and that forces people to be even more extreme.
Like them or not they do matter, and until the immigration issue is fixed the right will only get more popular.
If we are to hold any people liable we need to start with the "news agencies.", and get rid of their protection where they can say they are just entertainment. Most don't trust the news, and then turn to SM for it. That is the larger issue at hand.
