You also haven't been looking into current events. Zelensky has been groomed and protected by the West. You haven't been watching him enough. Also they replace their public agents to distract the public. Poroshenko was used for one stage, Zelensky the next. Everything that Zelensky has done shows what you say is not true. Conversely from what you say, it does happen that things are meticulously prepared more often than you think. With eyes closed, such a huge geopolitical move which was theitized a hundred years ago by the British empire doesn't just randomly go with whatever presents itself on the sidewalk. Logical enough.

An empty thin line if the military can't back it up. It's about geopolitics. Russia needs to look good to win over the rest of the world. It also needs to look strong. The West is handing this good image to Russia in spades. The winners decide when and how it ends. Paperwork doesn't matter, esp. when you don't have the brute force to enforce them. Geopolitics is ruthless. It doesn't necessarily end 3 moves before a perceived checkmate. Look at how ww2 ended for Germany and the US respectively.
