Lol Macron has no desire to be like de Gaulle. He is another Napoleon III, a British servant.

@justinianthegreat1444 China had a lot of civil wars and they were conquered. Rome and China are not the same misnomers. You could argue Rome never fell because it continued through Venice, Dutch, British and US empires. The Vatican is the center of Rome. The West is constantly split on whether the Vatican is the center of 'Rome'. Both China and Rome reinvented themselves numerous times.

@f1reguy587 the equipment is being used by Western mercenaries. You're not going to be feeling well warmongering. It's flawed on all levels. Morally, realistically, personally, etc etc

@freespeech8520 yes, the Mongols conquered China so the title is misleading. You also say that the Mongols became Chinese, also blatantly false. Are the Mongols Chinese? Careful there.
1
@freespeech8520 yes but Mongols are not Chinese. By your argument, Chinese are Mongols, Russians, Koreans, Japanese, Indians, Arabs, British, French, Vietnamese etc etc. This ideology will be the downfall of China in about a century. It's called hubris.

@freespeech8520 that ideology of ethno-cenyrism served China during difficult times, namely the cold war. China can now afford a new one. It is a more subtle form of aggression than other empirical models but aggressive none the less. The world needs to cooperate. China and Russia have a chance to show a new model. Otherwise, mother nature will correct it, as it did the US, the British, and every other empire before it. Interestingly each subsequent empire's life span in history has been shorter and shorter so for China's to last a century might be exaggerated. I respect China historically, culturally for their recent achievements, for the suffering they endured. Now it needs new ideologies in the new paradigm, which it is doing. It still needs some polishing. China needs friends. The US seem to be blind to that. I hope China doesn't make the same mistake because China as a superpower has the chance to be a balancing force.

@lyhthegreat yes, there are about 20 Chinese to every Manch person. Very tragic. Why are you speaking of Manchus when we were discussing Mongols? Was it supposed to be related? Very poor joke. Is it related? Mongolia doesn't 'sort of' exist, it very much does exist. Did the Chinese become British? French? Arab? Mongol? Chinese? Tibetan? Japanese? Korean? Yet? Should have respect for.... identity. Otherwise the world won't respect yours. It's a basic dignity which people feel.

@imfromisrael489 where's the joke? Ah ok. You're one of those. This a really really bad joke. You're right. Shouldn't you be focusing on your incoming poverty instead of overpriced luxuries like metallic machines?
1
@imfromisrael489 you're underestimating Russia bro. They're more advanced than we are in most areas. I think now their subs are better, at least better equipped and w better detection. Ours are still probably the most stealthy. Our satellite network is also better if not still at the top spot. They can use Chinese satellites which are on par and will probably surpass us within the next decade. Russia can take on NATO alone.

@Pravlord a new t90 costs the same as what? An Abrams? It costs 10x less than an Abrams and is comparable in quality.
1
@Pravlord gosh you wrote a lot. So the F-35 isn't overpriced and the Russians don't pay 20x less for better equipment? Where do you get your trash info? Ryan Macbeth? The F-35 is crap. In S.Korea it's known as the F-237...that was 2 years ago. 🤓 The Abrams does cost about 10x more than the Russian counterparts. Just the fact you are arguing about tanks shows you have no idea about modern warfare. The US is the 4th most potent military btw. Can you guess the next 3?
