@Ks3N imo the reason Russia isn't in a hurry to advance further is that it would get really complicated. It would have to be a cold-turkey decision because after that, there are other dimensions added to the war that make things more complicated.
1.The central area of Ukraine is the breadbasket. Does Russia really want to contest it? Because just the mere fact of fighting over it would destroy next year's harvest for Ukraine and its presumed destination-Europe. The Russians could at least save it as a card. It would also lead to a borderline humanitarian crisis which it seems so far, the Russians don't want to deal with.
2.Westward expansion goes into more foolhardy pro-Ukrainian territory (excluding their targets of Odessa and Tranistria). The propaganda war among the populace favors the Russians once the locals get a taste of both sides. And as the war drags on, the Ukrainian regime will become increasingly heavy-handed and desperate. This process is better for the Russians if its slow, giving time for the population to digest.
3.as a result of 1, Ukraine would be pretty close to capitulation and not only for the food but due to the destruction or vulnerability of other key infrastructure. As a result, capitulation leads to the most difficult phase of the war-the aftermath which involves dealing with CIA trained terrorist cells.
It probably won't be as difficult for the Russians as it was for the U.S in Iraq but still quite a challenge.
4.Besides the strategic objectives, a complete victory would be quite a blow to NATO credibility as they've been
dragging the populace into a rollercoaster distraction with this war.
5. On the world stage, it would further consolidate Russia's position and encourage more countries to join their economic and strategic alliances like SCO, BRICS, OPEC+, MIR system etc etc.
6. No rush for all this to happen so fast. It needs to be planned and timed carefully. Meanwhile, the economic impact of this war is arguably more crucial. Russia seems to be holding it well. Europe has some hard decisions to make as well and the US are laughing their asses off the longer this takes. They are the US target afterall while the Russians want the natural alliance between Russia/Europe with the US out of the way, to proceed sooner than later. But again, Europe needs time. Russia is pressuring them.
The international liberals(globalists) control the EU governments. The people will lose it at same point and will revolt. What gives between the 2 I don't know.

@patwilson2546 white Russia? Lol if you're going to read a 'history' book, at least get it straight. If you're going to get emotionally involved in current events, use your brain and stop swallowing whole (the bullsh1t). Wall Street funded the reds btw which was why the won. Which side do you think (not wallstreet) but NATO is backing now? The whites? The reds? Orange? Pink? Lol they have your head spinning on a swivel. Btw Nazis and commies are 2 oeas in a pod. It really doesn't matter for them. As you see, these Ukrainians are backed by Nazis. Either way, whatever gets the job done. They are funded, organized by the CIA, DOJ, to orchestrate the Orange Revolution in 2014. Good morning
Btw the U.S. also funded Hitler so they could go to war with Stalin. The Russians took the brunt of it losing 28 million while we stepped in in the middle losing 500k.
Then the war continued with the cold war. Never ending war.
They lied to your face-they said WW1 was to be the end of all wars. Nope, IT WAS THE EXACT OPPOSITE. EVERY WAR CAN BE TRACED BACK TO WW1. Its about resources, remapping the Middle East so that it would breed non-stop chaos among ethnicities, religions, elinating Germany, Russia as competitors, etc etc establishing the UN, NATO, IMF, World Bank. Those last 2 already destroyed Ukraine.
Go look up Arthur Quigley.
