@RochePascal-kx5gh We live in the age of projectiles. In both missiles and missile defense, the Russians are clearly ahead. Our missile defense does not work. Our missiles are at least a generation, probably 2 behind Russian technology.

@RochePascal-kx5gh you are the one confused about NATO and US operations. It's a basic fundamental misconception. The US created NATO, the EU, the World Bank, IMF, etc etc. These are all military arms of the US. And yes, they serve the US just as your politicians Aldo serves US interests.

@RochePascal-kx5gh If all things were equal, the US would still lose. Because more than any other country, they depend on overseas projection to maintain their power. Their aircraft carriers would last on average 20 minutes. That was some years ago. That number is only getting smaller.

@RochePascal-kx5gh the only areas where we can still compete is in our satellite network and newk subs. We have about 6-7x more satellites. That advantage will be lost in about a decade. Our newk subs are effective and work as a deterrent, still. Their subs are probably already better.

@robmar7190 how is this similar to Afghanistan? Well it was much quicker than Afghanistan and US presence in troops there are minimal because the Russians prevented it. Now the situation is totally different. Now there is a Mexican standoff between at least 6 factions, potentially a lot more and Russia is among the least of them.
