@jesusojeda7850 the US grip in the EU is deep atm. In the future the relationship will be highly tentative as rivals and even as potential enemies. It's hard to say which side will prevail. It depends on Russia and China I'm afraid.

@strigoiu13 gosh, you are laughing because you think Russia is losing (and badly as you mention population 🤣). How lost can you be? The casualty ratio is over 10:1 now. It was 7:1 the first year even when the Russians were outnumbered 3:1 for 5-6 months.

@thesmogo the ncasualty ratio from the first year are from Pent/agon/ian leaks. Since then, it has gotten steadily worse. The Russians are no longer outnumbered, or are on equal terms but outnumber their foe. Other interesting thing to note is the disparity in equipment available. In the first year, the disparity in artillery fired was also 7:1. It has also increased since. Not saying it is a direct parallel but roughly reliable. The disparities are not just in artillery bit everything including drones, missiles, armor etc. They exceed 10:1. It's more in the vicinity of 15 or 20:1.

@thesmogo the difference in number of equipment used in the battlefield is attested to by soldiers from both sides throughout the course of the war. The ratio of kia and wounded is traditionally about 1:3 or 1:4. Unfortunately I lost the source that gave a quote for this war but I remember it being unusual and revealing for the state of current modern warfare. On the other hand I see soldiers quote the usual numbers so nothing definitive. Modern warfare is a nightmare. Remember that this is an SMO and not a real conventional war. If it were real w the objective of taking out the opponent, every target would be gone within the first hour. Targets include military, energy, supply lines and depots, communications etc as the US did in Iraq 25 years ago. It's called shock and awe. It's worse now. The US achieved similar ratios in that war if not better imo. We're talking 15, 20:1. But the Russians did this against a 1st or (2nd rate depending on your classification) military. That miyary was more powerful than any military of the EU and has gone through 4? 5? new mobilizations. The overall casualties are well over 2 million and closer to 3 million. Over 2k kia everyday and climbing. Tbf those numbers are understated. They are only confirmed numbers. The real number is probably closer to double that.

@thesmogo they are understating the civilian casualties in Paleostein as well. It is not 40k but over 200k. This is according to numerous Western sources but not mainstream news. Again, they cite the same logic, that there are many bodies unaccounted for in this case, underneath the rubble.

Yes it is funny, how the West are going about the slowest method possible to discover which red lines of the winners have been crossed only to be genuinely and increasingly shocked as they are progressively dictated to. All the meanwhile, Russia is looking like the good guys throughout. Only winning, winning and more winning for the Russians and vice versa.
