 @leroyjenkins4811 Imo in the film, it clearly shows Yoda more powerful than Sidious right before the explosion. Yoda fell off due to his lighter weight.

@GoGoOnGordon Interesting points you have but they're all subjective. In the film, it showed Yoda to be more powerful than Darth Sidious. He was running away as time was on his side so Yoda pursued him from below. In the duel of force power, Yoda was clearly getting the better of Sidious-it was clear but for a moment. Notice that we are talking about how Yoda failed to defeat Sidious which he did, but not of how Sidious defeated Yoda. Whatever state Yoda was in at the time, he was clearly more powerful than Sidious even then. As for Yoda and Mace Windu? I think Vapaad is a weak argument because it's not established the most dominating style, just a style unique to a handful of Jedi. But I like your take on things, very interesting they are. Lucas stated that Mace Windu beat Sidious fair and square. I don't know how more clear you can get than that.

@leroyjenkins4811 I don't know about the lightsaber duel but in the film it clearly shows Yoda's force powers are greater than that of Sidious. As it was, the fight was a draw. As for Mace Windy, he did beat Palatine 'fair and square' per George Lucas. Personally I would've had Palatine 2nd only to Yoda but being third and still winning the war makes it all the more exciting I suppose.

@GoGoOnGordon subjective is relying on movies and not getting into the lore? But not vice versa? Because Mace Windu beat Sidious and Yoda didn't means...? Nothing, actually. Yoda is the most powerful Jedi. There aren't as many Mace Windy fanboys who claim he is the most powerful Jedi but you are one.

@GoGoOnGordon Sidious was past his prime too? I thought he grew more powerful afterwards throughout the trilogy, according to lore. What I see in the film was clear. Yoda was not just a little stronger but significantly stronger than Sidious in the force. Meanwhile Mace Windu could barely contain his lightning strike with a lightsaber. Also remember that Sidious was running away from Yoda. 'If so powerful you are, why run?' because he's afraid of Yoda, he at least has his doubts, wants to train Darth Vader, and he most likely thinks he isn't as powerful. He insinuates it in his answer by saying Anakin will destroy us both. It also hints that he is planning to run away. *But that's just my interpretation. You're a Mace Windy fanboy but I respect that. Love Mace Windu. A part of me wishes he was a better duelist than Yoda. I wish they showed more of him or brought him back. 👍

@GoGoOnGordon ok man, I don't agree but I do respect your opinion. I do feel having Mace Windu as a better duelist than Yoda would do him justice. We should interview Lucas about this. If he says Windu was in fact the better duelist, I wouldn't mind one bit. 😁
