  1.  @clown7841  Chinese jets have longer striking range as well. That's a problem. Another problem: average life expectancy of an aircraft carrier is 20 minutes. Everything on the surface are metal coffins. The aircraft carriers wherever they are on the planet will be sunk in no time. Maybe that's why the Chinese haven't invested so much in tankers? just a thought. Stealth fighters like the F-22 can be easily detected. Also a problem. Let's save us some time. We're not going to direct kinetic war with China and certainly not over Taiwan. No ww3 unless the Chinese or Russians start it and they have less reason to start one than we do.

  2.  @OshLikesFlying  F-35 isn't cost effective and it's garbage. The point is to make money and to keep customers buying more junk. We don't live in the era of air superiority. You won't be seeing F-anything in Russian or Chinese airspace. And their jets have a longer shooting range.

  3. It looks like Star Trek's Bird of Prey. Would be cool to put railguns on the wing tips. Forget the planes. Just fly it in friendly space and let the myths proliferate like bacteria. The enemy will go crazy, empty their bank accounts.

  4. They will happen once we have powerful enough jet propulsion me thinks. *The rings will be much smaller. They will attract the Japanese first for their kamikaze value but most likely find their first successes in something more benign like passenger travel. Certainly, bigger rings will be used in space.
