@Vernonu9 True, but the difference is Lewis beat everybody regardless of style and the two people he did lose to, Lewis got it back in blood and destroyed them. That’s why Lewis is the goat second only to Ali.

@herohunter5961 And Lewis wasn’t in his prime when he beat Tyson. Stop making excuses.
3
@Juggernaut934 And 10 count in boxing is not a 10 second count so please stop with this common lie. It’s only the ref’s count of 10. Actual seconds are not measured.
3
@antonyokhebero3005 Lennox whooped Ruddock. Simple as that.
2
This is why Lennox is better than Tyson. It took Lennox 2 rounds to beat an opponent that took Tyson 7 rounds to beat in the first fight and 12 rounds in the second fight.
2
Because Lennox was that much better.

@HaraDuran Prime means both age and physical health and Tyson was Lewis second to last match, after which he would fight Vitali Klitschko in which he slowed down even more and was taking hits unlike any other time. Lewis was passed his prime when he fought Tyson.
1
@HaraDuran He was passed his prime when he fought Tyson. They literally fought in 2000 and he was in his late thirties. That is not your prime. And Archie as good as he was lost quite a few matches, which would probably be less had he fought at a younger age.
1
@HaraDuran B-Hop as well. They are all very talented, but none of them were in their prime physically. So saying that they were in their prime because they started boxing late or using the argument “they were late bloomers” is silly.
1
@HaraDuran Archie’s has a great resume as he mostly wins in his early career so what are you talking about?
1
@HaraDuran And Mayweather has aged as well, I mean for god sakes he was losing rounds to fucking McGregor.
1
@HaraDuran That I can agree with. But genuinely asking, how was Lennox resume questionable to you? The only big name in the 90s that he lacks was Bowe and that was honestly because the two couldn’t agree on a decent contract. He fought and beat everyone else and avenged his wins, and his resume is filled with all the big names heavyweights in his era. He cleaned out an entire generation of elite fighters that hasn’t been seen since Ali, and honestly Lewis accomplished it better than Ali as he avenged his only two losses.
1
@Juggernaut934 When did I say that was his prime? And that doesn’t even matter as he got his ass beat by Holyfield and Lewis who were further past their prime than he was. And Lewis retired champion in his late 30s what’s Tyson’s excuse? And he got his ass beat by Buster Douglass at the age of 23. Sorry terrible argument 🤦🏿♂️
1
@HaraDuran No they had swarmers, power punchers, counter punchers, and outboxers with good footwork and head movement. To say that it was lacking especially compared to to Tyson’s weak prime era in the 80s is laughable
1
@HaraDuran Yes he struggled against an older Holyfield because Holyfield is an actual true elite boxer and they are not far in age, they are only 3 years apart.
1
@HaraDuran And Lennox Lewis wasn’t just good, he was phenomenal.
1
@HaraDuran Lewis was fighting plenty of young guys and again, he was the similar age as Holyfield.
1
@Juggernaut934 You can’t call Lewis’s being in his prime in 2000 when he was literally pushing 40 and his fight with Tyson was his second to last match before fighting Klitchsko and he retired before Tyson did. And his match with Klitchsko was really bad as he was slow, out of shape, and taking hits like no other and had to rely on his iq and experience to win that fight via damaging Klitchsko so saying his prime spanned from 95 to 2000 is very stupid.
1
@Juggernaut934 And it is excuses, because plenty of fighters in Tyson’s era were in drugs, and still dominated. For fuck sales it’s the 80s and 90s 90% of pro athletes in general were abusing drugs. Sugar Ray Leonard a prime example of this and still kicked ass in the ring. So yeah excuses.
1
@Juggernaut934 And you say Tyson got beat by Douglass while he was out of shape despite being able to dominate Douglass and knock him down. What really happened is that he underestimated Douglass and got his ass kicked. Simple as that.
1
@Juggernaut934 And yes Lewis style does take energy lbecause he has to move around light in his feat carrying his massive frame while also having to jab incredibly fast and hit hard right hands just as hard. So again silly argument.
1
@Juggernaut934 That’s not unique to Tyson as many boxers and pro athletes in this time were on hardcore drugs and were still on top. So sorry that excuse doesn’t fly and he still won several big fights post prison including Golata one of the most aggressive and dirty powerful fighters of that era. At some point, these excuses can only give Tyson so many passes.
1
@Juggernaut934 And if you have to rely on a coach or a trainer to stay disciplined, that’s on Tyson and Tyson alone.
1
@Juggernaut934 He was, and I agree Tyson should have won that fight but his lack of self discipline fucked him up.
1
@herohunter5961 Lewis wasn’t in his prime either when he beat Tyson. And prime Lewis would annihilate prime Tyson. Way so skilled, master of distance and timing, better head movement, and way better defense, and way more precise with his jabs and power hand. If you think prime Tyson is beating Lewis in his prime and in the first round you must be snorting the coke Tyson was sniffing.
1
@antonyokhebero3005 Sounds like a lot of cap and excuses. Lewis beat everyone there is to beat. But you can cry harder.
1
@AdaraloyeDayo Source? And even then, he beat Tyson, that’s all that matters.
1
@herohunter5961 Absolutely yes lol.
