  2. Mechanical instruments are a big plus, huge infotainment screen is overwrought, no mechanical buttons is baaaaad! All this plastic cladding is ugly. Who needs Harman Kardon in a WRX?

  3.  @charlescdt6509  If they can get a nuclear reactor cooled, they surely can have the cat cooled, but will it be practical? Maybe make cats less attractive to steal, maybe offer people jobs, maybe actually punish thieves? This is not an engineering problem, but a societal one.

  4. "Viscous-type center differential" - is it a real differential with viscous coupling or just viscous coupling? I am surprised it is not an electronically-controlled clutch pack.

  5. ​ @SarahnTuned The only thing disposable about EVs is the battery, and I actually hope it will be recyclable. No engine to overhaul, all those belts, chains, gaskets, compression rings. What is the most disposable is the software. Tesla used to come with Slacker Radio exclusively, but then Tesla switched to Spotify. The worst thing that can happen is software devs abandoning the platform. I have a 10-year old tablet with Android 4, old Youtube app does not work anymore, new Youtube app does not install. At least I can still use it as an ebook reader.
