"EV adoption is critical for our climate goals" - can you prove that EVs with their huge batteries are less damaging to the environment than, say hybrids, if you consider the full cycle of making vehicles and batteries? There is no working system for recycling of the batteries, so EVs are not environmentally friendly (yet?). All they accomplish are reduced emissions in cities.
