  1. I thought the electronic components could be made inoperational by a command from a satellite or by not using a correct security key for a new part or something. If these airplanes cannot be disabled remotely, then the Russians will continue flying them. But good luck buying new ones. Their own industry will not make enough planes to replace the aging Western planes.
