  1. What versatility and practicality are you talking about? It is larger than the 2012 Ranger, wheels are larger, the hood is higher. It is a menace for cyclists. It is not available as a single cab, therefore its bed is too short. it is just not as good as a truck. It is not good as a car or a wagon either: there is little space in the cabin for stuff, and the bed needs a cover to protect your luggage from elements. The Escape is a more sensible option as a city truck, if there is such a thing. But a Focus Wagon would be an even better option. Too bad the choice of a normal car in the North America is now very limited.
