My picks: #1 Corolla Cross Hybrid for no-nonsense unoffensive looks, great fuel economy and real mechanical instruments. #2 Mazda CX30 for size, fun and quality interior with mechanical instruments. The "long in the tooth" argument is stupid. #3 Subaru Crosstrek for size, economy and proper AWD setup, but it is the ugliest Crosstrek ever with too much plastic cladding (the first was the best), and its humongous screen looks awful. Your #1 Kona is ugly inside and out. I would never even think of buying it no matter its technical features. And I hate tablets instead of real instruments. Where is VW Tiguan? Is it not small enough?
