The amendment states: No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice. No person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once.

  5.  @svjim1  actually not even 2 terms, LBJ was only allowed to run once since he took over for Kennedy so soon. Had Kennedy been assassinated 2 years later he could have.
