  2. right about the m16 developed for combat but the AR15 was developed, in the civilian world, as a varmit rifle. A long gun for ranchers to use against wolves coyote and the like.

  3. Another faulse claim. the M16 and m4 are 5.56 mm nato not .223, some but not all AR15s are .223 while others are .223/5.56. PS the AR15 also has the forward assist.Also AR15s are flattops but come with the carry handle.
