Well at least something good came from at least one of these miscarrages of automotive justice

@hagerty1952 it had the ford logo.and bought thru ford so i dont care who designed it it was a stock ford part. I'll trust the guy that runs the model T garage as he is well known in model T circles at least country wide if not world wide.

@hagerty1952 I have researched, i built my own solar powerplant from ground up. so when ppl say things i do know about i assume basement.

@hagerty1952 sorry getting my posts mixed up. I have also been a mechanic for 40 years, i studied thermodynamics so again i kinda do know what im talking about.

actually the overhead vale setup was a ford factory racing part from the model T era. I used to rent shop space from a guy that was all into T's . so much he would get customers from all over the U.S.A.

Very bias. Everything i've heard before this says Citroen was a very poor design , fron to back. Also fails to point out the shared crank journal is very inferior design.

thats not gravity thats convection . heat rises causing coolant (not refridgerant) to drop to the lower parts of the system. please do at least a little research before making vids on the subject.

@repairman22 yes, thats called convection. Duh

broken arms came from impropper cranking procedure, never push the crank, always pull up on it.

@chuckasbury8991 true they just had few buyers as they were a high priced part for a very basic car. mostly just professional racers.

total B.S. i've seen many oil pumps fail, as opposed to practically no cranks and only block failures were thrown rod or freezing.

not with current epa and ntsb. plus so many nowdays cant even drive a manual transmission.

longer stroke also limits the rpm. I rented garage space at a place called the model T garage in tulsa. the guy had many old racing parts for the T (even a factory overhead valve setup). No matter how crude, remember this was the first affordable car in history. Many others had better design but cost $20k to $30k at the time while the T was about $500.

@hagerty1952 no but i saw one in the 90s and as i say i'll trust a man concidered an Expert by the model T community far more than a random basement dweller on youtube.

Air cooled is superior in cold , not so much in heat. Air is less efficient in cooling.
