Fluclear would be perfect, if not for the fact that the energy produced is so expensive that none wants to invest in it.

@jesan733 It's not a question of will. With existing technology, nuclear power is the most expensive large-scale source. The Levelized Cost of Energy for nuclear is over 4 times that of utility-scale wind and solar. That's why even energy storages with 20-25% of efficiency seem convenient in comparison.

@jesan733 So you have to relax standards to still not reach the energy costs (and it's a maybe anyway) that solar and wind already have without relaxing anything.

@jesan733 Maybe, but it remains the fact that, nowadays, no private wants to invest in nuclear power, while they want to invest in solar and wind. Maybe things would change with a different ruleset, but maybe.

@jesan733 Maybe. Until now nuclear had not responded that spectacularly to scale economy. Not all the technologies are similar. Even a pair of hundreds identical reactors are not like a billion panels.
