It should have been mentioned the "codex vercellensis" written around 350CE (so contemporary of the oldest of the four Uncials) and containing the four gospels IN LATIN, the oldest surviving latin version of the gospels (even if we know latin versions circulated since the second century). Also that the old testament contained in the vulgata Latin bible (composed in 4th century by Jerome) had been translated directly from the Ebraic version and not from the Greek one. So, even before the finding of the dead sea scrolls, and without knowing how faithful the medieval Ebraic versions were, there were two independent translations of the ancient Ebraic text.
