Amanda Knox is just lucky that the Italian judiciary system is VERY favourable to the defendant. In the US she'll likely rot in prison.

Oh my God! He had been BLINDFOLDED! Maybe someone CALLED HIM NAMES!

1) It's possible, but improbable. It will probably become endemic, like the swine flu. 2)In case of viruses, natural selection favours the milder strains, the ones that don't kill the host (the virus of common cold, or the papillomavirus, are higly successful human viruses). Spanish flu had been an exception, because the conditions in the trenches selected the most dangerous strain but, not by chance, it disappeared.

You talk from your TV experience?

@37Raffaella It's pretty much how it works. In Italy the peak of new cases had been registered 13 days after the lockdown, and the peak of daily deaths 19 days after the lockdown.

Oh my God, he had been blindfolded! Maybe someone called him names!

"abused"? Amanda Knox is just lucky that Italian judiciary system is VERY favourable to the defendant. In the US she'll likely rot in prison.

@Guachum At Hollywood.

They'll be released in 20 years. Then you can prosecute and punish them as much as you want.

It's a tennis ball. It can't hurt anyone.

It simply arrived in Italy first. Spain is following Italy at a week distance. And their healt care system already appears more overwelmed than than the Italian one ever was. France is a little better but, profiting from the Italian example, they shut down a pair of days in advance (Italy and Spain shut down when they had less than 8000 recorded cases. France when it had a little over 5000), and that made the difference. US... well. They have already suspasses Italy as number of active cases, and probably will surpass Italy as number of total cases today. Simply the growth of cases that Italy had in three weeks, US had in one, so patients had not the time to die.

The voices in your head told you something else?

1) Amanda Knox is just lucky Italian justice system is VERY favourable to the defendant. In the US she'd rot in prison. 2) Because he was a plainclothes policeman like there are everywere. 3) Because there was not "fake drug dealer". The two stole the bag of a regular guy that gave them an information (they asked him who could be a drug dealer) after the deal went wrong. They tried to extort him 100 euros and a gram of cocaine. 4) You are a moron uncapable to search, or understand, news.

You really are able to believe that?
2
Lynette Scribner Oh, the TV expert again.

You dont understand. He had been BLINDFOLDED! Maybe someone CALLED HIM NAMES!

@COPPERMOUNTAINCOINS. You are saying that you have been there as a tourist? LOL! You don't even realise how ridicolous it sounds to pretend to be an expert of something from a tourist experience, but we all know you never left your mom's basement.
2
@leggoddess2181 Is not wishing. Cases are increasing in the US at an higher pace than they ever did in Italy.

It's not like everyone needs to live after all.
1
"avoid gatherings of more than 10 people"? 10 PEOPLE ARE WAY TOO MUCH! Three people are way too much. If someone really have to get out of his home, for strict necessity, he must do that ALONE. That's the only way. What's so hard to understand?

America just received half a million test kits form China, half a million from Italy and half a million from Turkey (not American test kits seems to have become good lately).
1
Rome is covered in street cameras, and it really don't take that long to find a knife in a room.
1
Hasn't he helped killing a US citizen by making sure he didn't receive any help?
1
The others are safe unless they lick it.

Disposable hazmat suit, N95 mask, eyewear, gloves. The entire kit to keep an healtcare worker safe for a work switch costs about 10$.
1
It doesn't trust you either.
1
Those two looks REALLY American to me. https://st.ilfattoquotidiano.it/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/27/assassini-carabiniere-1200-690x362.jpg
1
So you can kill someone if you are escorted in a group by a Specialized tour guides?
1
Amanda Knox is just lucky that Italian judiciary system is VERY favourable to the defendant. In the US she'd rot in prison. The first report had only been diffused by an idiot right-wing activist.
1
So the shot that missed Rayshard hit an occupied car. So much for thinking about the citizens' security.
1
Simply someone can't believe two apparently nice young Americans can commit a crime. Foreigners are to blame.

Those that die today had not been diagnosed with covid-19 today, but one to five weeks ago.
1
They don't need to go to 3rd world countries. They already live in one.
1
We are basically made of warm salt water, but that doesn't heal us, does it?
1
In this phase they can say whatever they want. They are simply trying to gain some simpathy. The real defence strategy will be shown later.
1
They could have bought an identical knife in Italy. To bring it from the US is more indicative of their mentality.
1
@italianboy826 Those that die today had been diagnosed with covid-19 from one to five weeks ago. That's the last number to go down.
1
yeah. They'll be free in 20 years.
1
Hospitalization rate is a poor indicator when covid-19 units are full. Hospitals simply start to admit only people with more severe symptoms.
1
Not likely. It's difficult to prove the killing was planned (that's why they likely will not be condemned to death in the US too, other than they are white and without precedents). The killer will be out in 20 years. The other probably in 10.
1
And she wanted to talk to his manager too.
1
They will be home in 20 years.
1
@RaccoonNation It would be intelligent to stick on the relevant aspect of a story, not on the accessory ones, like in this case could be the weather or the colour of the policemen's uniform. So, what's relevant in the blindfold?
1
Someone told you that it had been found easily?
1
Because, after the grief, Italians need a good laugh?
1
On 18 March there had been 2626 cases and 108 deaths for covid-19 in UK. Yesterday they were at 33718 cases, 2921 deaths, and in lockdown. Everyone tought to be smarter than the others, until the virus started to hit hard (a question of days). And at that point it was too late.
1
Actually covid-19 deaths are underreported. The excess deaths are far superior than those attributed to the virus, since many people die of covid-19 at home or in care homes without being tested.
1
Again that fake soccer match correlation. VALENCIAN COMMUNITY IS ONE OF THE LEAST AFFECTED IN SPAIN. It would have not been the case, had that match played any part in spreading covid-19 in Spain. The epicenters of covid-19 epidemics in Spain are MADRID and BARCELONA, whose teams didn't play any match in Italy.
1
Since the ship is not destined to covid-19 patients, what will happen when some patient already admitted will be found positive? Because it will happen.
1
And you are a moron like those two.
1
Amanda Knox is just lucky that Italian judiciary system is VERY favourable to the defendant. In the US she'd rot in prison.
1
You read it wrong. They didn't steal the purse of the man who sold the aspirin, but that of the man to whom they asked to point them to a drug dealer. Since he was a regular guy, not involved in the drug deal (he simply gave an information) he obviously called the Carabinieri. A to sell aspirin instead of drug IS A FRAUD ANYWAY.
1
@Aaqe People needs two weeks to die on average after the diagnosys. The increase in cases that Italy had in three weeks, US had in less than one. That's why the number of deaths is still low there.
1
No bail system in Italy.
1
There are four manufacturers of mechanical ventilators in the world. One is in Italy. The rest of the world has to cope with the virus with the other three.
1
Soak the mask in bleach for ten minutes and, once dry, it's completely sterile. Bleach kills every microorganism, even if it needs some minutes to do so (that's why it's not apt for hands cleaning).
