  2. Those games were not made to make people join any armed force. They were meant to sell. They depicted battles because feigned battles are fun and, a good wargame sells and makes money for the company. There isn't any contradiction in being a pacifist and liking wargames.

  3. Game companies are interested in making money, but triple A games require 5-7 years of development, sometimes more. The games that came out this year had been set in 2018-2019, and this is the direction they had been convinced would have paid. More titles like those are coming out, without time for course correcting. For the backlash they are receiving to have some effect you'll have to wait for at least a couple of years.

  5. Common occurrence. Also Dustborn seemed like a parody of progressive positions (that real lefties didn't like at all. No, really, the first decision in the game leads to you ki||ing a pair of cops that didn't do you anything, in a car accident, without you even looking back?). The devs of those games are zealots that want to chastise "their own" first. They are bigots.

  7. Infact representation is cancer. Representation is the grave of diversity. You want to see diversity? See, for example, the first, 1982, lineup of the New Mutants. A white American, a Native American, a Vietnamese, a Scottish, a mixed-race Brazilian. Two males, three females. Those characters worked because their different backgrounds and look made for interesting stories, both visually and plot-wise (compare it, IE, with the uniformity of the first, 1963, X-Men lineup. Marvel learnt something in those 20 years). But they were not meant to represent anyone else but themselves. When your character is meant to represent a group, it ceases to be interesting. It can't have defects, because those would be the defects of the group. The only kind of growth allowed is for him to discover how awesome he already is and how much listening to others was keeping him down. And that's the death of a character.
