  1. Neanderthal went extinct well before the last glaciation. Mammoth went extinct with the last glaciation. They were thriving before. We associate Mammoth with cold climates because we did found their corpses encapsulated in ice, but it's not like they needed a cold climate to live. They were herbivorous. They needed the same climate than buffaloes.
