The difference with the others is that the Romans asked themself those questions. The Romans had been the ones that, more than any other classical civilization, tried to adopt the point of view of their enemies. @funkmaster2258 I was talking of historical accounts written after the facts. There was nothing to exploit and the war was over.

@boygriffin5764 Like it or not, they historically did. "They make a desert and call it peace" had been written by a Roman (a Roman historian and a Senator). Not a Greek in Roman time. That had been written by a Roman for a Roman public.
