  2.  @caos1925  Egyptian blue is the first syntetic pigment humanity created. So they should have spent time and efforts to create a new tecnology to obtain a pigment they couldn't discern from the ones they already had?

  3. For the Egyptians the color blue was very important. They decorated their jewelry mainly with blue stones, used them to decorate internals (see, IE, the blue chambers of the Pyramid of Joser) and they appreciated it that much that they find the way to obtain the first syntethic pigment known to mankind, the Egyptian blue.
