@SeacryBlastsAloT And that's false. The European Parliament is voted, and the European Council is made by the premiers of the EU countries.

@JesiAsh No that's UE money. Norway gave other funds. And the EU funds are granted on a purely bureaucratic level. Your project checks certain boxes, you have access to the funds. None cares if the game is good or bad.

@serganta8861 Well no. Apart for nuts, none criticizes the game for things like having diverse characters. They criticizes it because the gameplay is laughable and the dialogues are cringe AF. It's not like you have to make shitty games to have the funds.

@SeacryBlastsAloT BTW, In the US the premier (chief of the executive) is appointed by unelected delegates whose number is decided in the Presidential Elections. In France, Germany and Italy is voted by the elected Parliament, in UK is automatically the secretary of the party that won the last elections (regardless if he personally had been voted or not, and he can be changed during the legislature) ecc... ecc... The way the EU chief of the executive is elected is in no way less democratic than in any western democracy.

@AscendantStoic They are, but they don't need to be to have access to the funds. EU co-finances THOUSANDS of projects every year. Yeah, EU funds for game developers are granted provided that: "Applications should present adequate strategies to ensure a more sustainable and more environmentally-respectful industry and to ensure gender balance, inclusion, diversity and representativeness". But it's not written anywhere than the game must be about a group of freaks that treat like shit everyone that doesn't agree with them. They could have made a farming mobile game with the possibility of customizing your character with different gender and ethnicity, and it would have been funded the same.

@SeacryBlastsAloT The directly elected European Parliament. The same that votes ANY European law.

@SeacryBlastsAloT To use very simple words so that you have a more difficult time to twist then words into a more complicated and less convenient form: you don't like the result of the elections, so obviously you think they are rigged, because you can't accept reality to not bend to your desires. That's your problem, not of the elections.

@SeacryBlastsAloT First of all, "it's crystal clear to me" is not how it legally works. Then, unfortunately almost all elections in Germany end up in a coalition government, whose premier is decided and supported by different parties. So the voters of some party ended with the party they voted supporting someone that's not member of the same party, and it was not "crystal clear" to them their vote would have supported. Now tell me how much FPD voters went to the 2021 elections wanting Scholz as premier.

@SeacryBlastsAloT It means that, as a result of the European Election, there was a majority in the European Parliament that wanted her as the President of the Commission. Exactly like Scholz in Germany. She wasn't the ideal candidate of everyone, but she was the name that could be voted by a majority of the representatives.
