  1. Lightyear failed because it was boring AF. No '90s children whould have wanted a Lightyear figure after having seen that movie. A movie where Buzz Lightyear doesn't go anywere, spend time seeing his friends aging, and only battles against himself. "Buzz Lightyear of star command" was the kind of cartoon that would have sold figures. Not "poor man's interstellar".
