Fake news. Italy had not suspended the Astrazeneca vaccine. Only a single batch had been retired.

Not really. Both the RNA vaccines and the not-replicating virus vector vaccines were new tech. No not-replicating virus vector vaccine had ever been approved for human use before the Astrazeneca one. The old-tech vaccines for Covid-19 are the Sinovac and the Soberana2 (the last one not approved yet).
2
@ElvenSpellmaker Probably because the not-replicating virus vector technology had been used for cancer genetic therapy, so it's not completely new, but it had never been used for vaccines.

@daveofyorkshire301 The seized batch destined to Australia had not been distributed and will not be. Seizing is not appropriating. Besides, there had not been any "stealing". It's a question of contractual obligations. Astrazeneca signed a contract with EU that obliged them to make "their best efforts" to deliver a certain quantity of vaccines to EU. Astrazeneca is behind schedule. If, while being behind schedule, Astrazeneca delivers vaccines produced INTO the EU to other countries, it's self-evident that they are not doing "their best efforts" to deliver them to EU.
2
@daveofyorkshire301 Eventual contracts signed between Astrazeneca and third parties are a question between them alone. There had not been any "stealing". The seized batch destined to Australia had not been distributed and will not be. Seizing is not appropriating.
2
@daveofyorkshire301 If the company needs a permission to export drugs and they don't get it because of contractual issues it's not stealing and the company only has itself to blame. Stop trying to accuse others of stealing without legal basis. The contract between EU and Astrazeneca had been signed on 27 august 2020. Stop trying to spread fake news. Even in the case (AND THAT'S NOT THE CASE) the contract had been signed the day before the seizing, Astrazeneca shouldn't have signed it had they not been able to fulfill it.
2
@daveofyorkshire301 Infact seizing didn't transfer the ownership to the nation. The seized batch destined to Australia had not been distributed and will not be. Seizing is not appropriating. You are still trying to falsely accuse EU of stealing without any legal basis. The right of seizure for contractual issues is for any country. Seizure is a Police action, not change of property and doesn't need the decision of any court. If Astrazeneca think the seizure is against the law, they can challenge it in court. Criminals don't "threaten to sue or take legal actions". You are stil trying to falsely accuse EU of being a criminal organisation without any legal basis.
2
@daveofyorkshire301 Eventual contracts signed between Astrazeneca and third parties are a question between them alone. There was no contract between EU and Australia. Australia can blame Astrazeneca if they'll not deliver what promised, not the EU. It's what's called a seizure. Seizures are legal. Wheter you like it or not. Why are you still arguing this issue? Had been the EU condemned for vexatious litigation? You are stil trying to falsely accuse EU of being a criminal organisation without any legal basis.
2
@daveofyorkshire301 Every time a company needs a government permission to export drugs. If Astrazeneca believes it being unfair, they can challenge the decision in court. Eventual contracts between Astrazeneca and third parties are a question between them alone. There had not been anything illegal in seizing the batch. Had Astrazeneca believed otherwise, they would have challenged the decision in court. Had Australia believed otherwise, they could have challenged the decision in court. None of them did. Because seizing is a police action and doesn't require any court. If Astrazeneca thinks the seizure is against the law, they can challenge it in court.
2
@daveofyorkshire301 Astrazeneca didn't fulfill its part of the contract. As usual you're trying to turn the emphasis and falsely trying to depict EU as the criminals and not the victims. Astrazeneca didn't fulfill its part of the contract. and was subsequently denied to export vaccines made in the EU, and that contractually should have been delivered to EU, abroad. EU is not campaigning against anyone.
2
@daveofyorkshire301 Seizure is not stealing. Contractual obligations are not expectations. The fact you dont' understand that is astounding stupid. Germany and France are not the EU, nor are they campaigning against anyone. Do you occasionally get some information out of conspiracy sites?

You are thanking them for a fake news. Italy had not suspended the Astrazeneca vaccine. Only a single batch had been retired.

@gww5385 even of the retired batch, over 50.000 doses had been administered. There are two deaths that MAYBE are vaccine-related. That, at worst, means a 1/25.000 mortality rate (if we look at all the doses of Astrazeneca vaccine administered in Italy, it would be less than 1/200.000). The trip by car to the vaccination centre is more dangerous.
1
@gww5385 Do you want a link to the main Italian media reporting those deaths?
1
@gww5385 How do you know of 506 deaths of people shortly after receiving the vaccine in the UK at present?
1
@gww5385 The BBC advises to read the same page you are telling of ("Covid vaccine: What you need to know about vaccine safety", can't post the link).
1
@gww5385 Maybe you should have preferred a daily report of the deaths, but it's a question of preferences.

Fake news. Italy had not suspended the Astrazeneca vaccine. Only a single batch had been retired. BTW Astrazeneca vaccine is made into the EU.
1
@Free-dv2vm British-Swedish. More Astrazeneca vaccine is made in EU than in Britain. Astrazeneca has more employees in EU than in Britain. Two out of three Astrazeneca research facilities are in the EU.
1
@Free-dv2vm That's just a narrative you want to believe despite the reality says otherwise. Astra-Zeneca British-Swedish. More Astrazeneca vaccine is made in EU than in Britain. Astrazeneca has more employees in EU than in Britain. Two out of three Astrazeneca research facilities are in the EU.
1
@Free-dv2vm Taxes are paid where activities are done, not where the headquarters of the company are. More Astrazeneca vaccine is made in EU than in Britain. Astrazeneca has more employees in EU than in Britain. Two out of three Astrazeneca research facilities are in the EU.
1
@Free-dv2vm Face it, more Astrazeneca vaccine is made in EU than in Britain. Astrazeneca has more employees in EU than in Britain. Two out of three Astrazeneca research facilities are in the EU.
1
@Free-dv2vm Do you suffer with a dyslexia? You didn't understand it 6 times.
1
EU has nothing to do with that. BTW Italy had not suspended the Astrazeneca vaccine. Only a single batch had been retired.
1
The EU is doing nothing to undermine the Astrazeneca vaccine.
1
Actually that would have been wrong either. EU didn't suspend anything, some nordic country did. Italy didn't pause anything. Only a single batch had been retired.
1
Actually the mechanism of the Pfizer-Moderna RNA vaccines and Astrazeneca-SputnikV not replicating virus vector vaccines are almost identical. In RNA vaccines a great quantity of RNA is injected into the body, some of it will enter into the body cells and those will start producing the antigenes (the virus "spike" proteine) for some time, giving the organism the possibility to produce the antibodies against that proteine In not-replicating virus vector vaccines the same RNA is inserted into a common virus in place of the virus' own RNA. The virus will inject the RNA into the body cells and those will start producing the antigenes (the virus "spike" preteine) for some time giving the organism the possibility to produce the antibodies against that proteine.
1
Not really. One agent died, and it had been 13 days after the vaccination.

Cazzate.

1) Fake news. Italy had not suspended the Astrazeneca vaccine. Only a single batch had been retired. 2) Fake news. The Italians had NOT prevented the export of 250,000 doses Astra-Zeneca vaccine to Australia because they couldn't get enough, but because Astra-Zenaca was not fulfilling its contract.
1
Fake news. It had not been suspended. Only a single batch had been retired.
1
Really? This is a fake news. The vaccine had not been suspended in Italy. Only a single batch had been retired.
1
@bigbarty8648 The relatives of those who died being happy or not doesn't change the fact hat "Italy pauses Astrazeneca rollout" IS A FAKE NEWS. "the best places to get the news on YouTube" administered you a FAKE NEWS. Are you happy to have been administered FAKE NEWS? You like to hear FAKE NEWS better than real news? As for the supposed related deaths, only of that batch at least 50.000 doses had been administered, and there had been 2 deaths that maybe had been related to the vaccine. Mortality rate 1/25.000. That means that, even assuming those deaths being really related to the vaccine, and even assuming all the batches of Astrazeneca vaccine to be equally "dangerous", by vaccinating THE ENTIRE ITALIAN POPULATION with it, there would be 2500 vaccine - related deaths. Covid-19 kills more people in ten days.

infact is a fake news. Italy had not suspended the Astrazeneca vaccine. Only a single batch had been retired.

Typical Australian fake news and typical Australians buying it. Italy had not suspended the Astrazeneca vaccine. Only a single batch had been retired.
