  1. Actually more heat get out of the weapon with plastic cases, since they don't transfer heat to the receiver in first place. That means that more of the energy developed is transfered to the bullet too. Mixing steel and brass is no good. Ammos have to be stored, and brass-steel contacts are critical for galvanic corrosion.
