And it could very well had, since in 1949 filming and taking pictures were well estabilished practices, and WWII prisoners had been pictured and filmed in every way. The 3rd Geneva convention only states that “prisoners of war must at all times be protected, particularly against acts of violence or intimidation and against insults and public curiosity” (not "citizenry"). That only forbids them to be used as a freak show. pictures and filming HAD BEEN INTENTIONALLY LEFT OUT, since, like for everyone, prisoners of war CAN be filmed, when the informative goal outweights the simple will to satisfy public curiosity. AND, as long as you are on the battelfield YOU HAVE NOT ANY REASONABLE EXPECTATION OF PRIVACY. If I'm filming my unit in action, I've not to stop only because one of the enemies says "I surrender".
