Between 20 and 60 years of age, the mortality rate of Covid-19 is between 2 and 10 out of 1,000. That of normal flu is between 2 and 10 out of 100,000. Recovery from the flu takes four days on average. Recovery from Covid-19 needs four weeks on average. The same for the average time people with viral pneumonia caused by the flu and by Covid-19 need to stay attached to a ventilator on average. As for cloroquine: "Whenever a new virus arrives there is always someone ready to say that it will work - said Martin Hirsch, General director of Paris hospitals -. But chloroquine never healed anyone".

@Slumbr Tracks There's no really a "cure" for flu. Antivirals have a limited effectiveness, as they have for coronavirus. The difference is that we are exposed to flu every year, so our immune system is more or less prepared for every viral strain of it, because it has already fought something similar in the past. That's no true for Covid-19.

Us deaths are still relatively low (in respect to Italy and Spain for example) because people need time to die. Those that die today had been diagnosed with covid-19 7 days ago on average, and US experienced in a week the rise of cases that Italy experienced in three.
