  1. It's pretty good. It's very recognizable and specific of the country (anyone in the world immediatly associates it with Canada). Not by chance it's a pretty recent design (adopted in 1965), when those considerations had became relevant. First, originality in designing flags was not so important, because the national flag was more "a symbol that had to be recognised by us" than "a symbol with which the others should identify us".
