  1. So what if the dissenters "aren't necessarily protesting the war on a moral level"? They don't want to fight it and, if forced, they'll be very low morale troops. Basically cannon fodder, whose death would make the war even more unpopular. What's this "overwhelming majority of average Russians" that supports the war doing for the troops? Where is the rush to provide them with decent food, boots, bulletproof vests?Ukrainians treat their soldiers like heroes. Russians? Like dirt to hide under the carpet. Those that are fleeing know that the "overwhelming majority of average Russians" supports the war enough, maybe, to put a "Z" on his car, but once in Ukraine he'll be on his own, depending on what he can loot to survive.
