It's the ass-old mith of the one-shot-one-kill that the ordnance corp had followed for more than a century. Meanwhile, IRL, in over 90% of possible battelfields, a soldier can't see an enemy standing in broad dailyght at 300m distance, because there's always something between them, and volume of fire wins infantry clashes.

  4. It would make the rifle longer and heavier. The max lenght with suppressor was one of the requirements of the competition. If you want a longer barrel, you need a bullpup (like True Velocity did. infact it operated at normal pressure, and you can see soldiers firing it in full auto from the shoulder, that's impossible with the XM-7. The ammo were also way lighter, so the troops could carry more).

  5.  @pandatanoao9384  It has to be noted how the 6.5 LICC ballistic is completely in line with that of historical 6.5 cartridges (6.5 Carcano, 6.5 Arisaka and so on). The 6.5 USA, from which it derives, was even made with shortened Carcano cases.
