  17. The PAC-3 erector/ launcher, holds 16 rounds, you dont fire 1 interceptor at at inbound, you fire a salvo to assure destruction when defending a High value target. The Saudis can afford to salvo fire their Patriots. It worked. PAC-3 is like the CIWS of BMD, its there to take out leakers in multi layered system, THAAD is the next layer above PAC-3. Unless Iran develops maneuvering RV`s, their missiles have little chance of getting past THAAD and PAC-3.

  18. You're thinking about BMD the wrong way. If I am a PAC-3 unit defending a high value target I know exactly where the threat axis is going to be and I also know the trajectory the threat will be flying. I place my defences accordingly, the EMAD is a MRBM not an IRBM, , its terminal velocity is well within the capabilities of PAC-3 to engage nor does the EMAD do any kind of terminal maneuvering.
