  1. It depends on the ambient conditions, on a flat calm in the open water, not so difficult. You have to remember that not all missiles will work as advertised, inbounds and defensive missiles included.

  2. MrThePrivateer Heavy jamming will only tell the USN the Raid is inbound. If they want to survive they will fly low, fast and use Tu-22 M3s to take out a USN CSG in a combined arms attack using Subs popping up with AsCMs. The best hope Russia would have is using a sub surface force launching as many missiles as possible to saturate the defences as well as an air attack on different bearings, hell throw in some decoys too.

  3. MrThePrivateer You do not have "lots" of SU`s, not enough to do a saturation attack on 10 Carrier battle groups, its a numbers game pal and Russia does not have the numbers, land bases or IFR capacity to take on the USN in every possible theatre.

ESM, EO, the huge rotating thingy on the back etc which all feed data into the system as well as Tac links. As you have said i think, elements can be electronically steered up to 120* even during mast rotation, rotation is FAST enough.
