  7.  @loosabway3400  Road surface, tyre manufacturer and width etc all have influence on noise as you know they have a noise Db rating. My RS tyre noise is loud even with the noise cancellation technology but I think I filter it out subconsciously.

  8.  @loosabway3400  Thinking of an F type addition I do like it but it might be too civilised for this car bore :P I like how Jaguar have managed to retain their prestige image, but its not as impressive as the job Audi have crafted for themselves over the last 20 years. How did Audi ever become a prestige manufacturer!

  10. I have driven the other cars you have mentioned, apart from the Renault , the TTRS is one of my current cars. When I got out of them after long drives, I felt better getting out of the TT, the others were tiring when you didnt want to feel tired because they demanded more of your attention. I dont want "fun" some days, I just want to get somewhere quickly. I guess its all subjective, but I like my RS. A Toyota or a Renault badge dont have anything to offer over an Audi badge for me in terms of "pedigree" in my humble opinion. If we are going to criticise the RS for having an anodine driving experience, you cant really get away with calling the GTR involving, its as sterile as they come and I have had 1 of them too.

  11.  @pgr3290  All cars are sterile when driving on public roads, thats because you dont want to kill somebody, you will already know you cant drive any of these cars quickly in built up areas i think your comments ring true only on the track. I really liked the Renault, it was exactly what I expected from them but then I am not a car snob. The RS is a great practical every day car for me and the others cannot touch its economy. My second car is a Mk 2 Escort X Pac custom with a 2.1 engine, ZF box and is a lot of fun, we shall have to differ mate.
