  2. Its harder in my view. With BMD you have dozens of systems that all have to work reliably all at the same time, if one part of the systems fails, you don`t have a shot. There`s a reason why this has never been done before, in previous tests the interceptor was given all the help it required to attack the target, much more than it would get from a real inbound missile, and it failed.

  4. Mid course intercepts are very difficult , boost phase is probably the best chance you have of taking a ballistic missile down. There are already signs powers are already designing their way around mid course KKV's by releasing MIRVs earlier in the trajectory. Won't aid accuracy I would have thought.
