  5. The Russian collusion was a trap laid by Russia. 1.Trump thought Putin wanted a favourable President in the Whitehouse so took the help. 2. Putin wanted leverage "against" a President he ushered into the Whitehouse and he has that I believe. The Russians call it "Kompromat". The Russians left trails everywhere which pointed back to them and the Russian security / subversion apparatus don`t make mistakes like that except when they want to. They wanted people to see this collusion, then they got Trump by the balls. Make no mistake, the Russians have dirt on Trump and the best part is the Trump campaign people in their thirst for power walked right into Putin`s trap. The Russians didn't want to rely on actionable goodwill from a friendly President, they wanted to "ensure" action which favoured Russia.

  6. The bigger story here was not a Russian attempt to influence the US Election, it was "Kompromat". Trumps campaign people were naive enough to believe the Russians were helping them when in fact the Russians were just positioning themselves to blackmail / influence / coerce Trump in the future. Think about it, the Russians left trails they never tried to cover up when hacking the voter registration machines in multiple states, to download data which is tactically useless to them, the Hack itself was the motive, they didn't do anything with the data. If you examine each story of "Russian collusion", its obvious the kremlin has been playing Trump every step of the way, the arrogance and self interest of Trumps team played right into Putin`s hands. Having said that, the Russians naively believed Trump would have more power than he does which is Constitutionally, not possible. The Real Power in the US resides in Congress and the Republican party which controls it, which Trump does not and will never control completely. In summary, Putin has created a mess he cannot control.
