  2.  @tristanpau1p  The extra efficiency will enable greater range but it wont enable greater sustained speeds because the B anc C version have an issue with rear fuselage structural intergrity at sustained supersonic flight.

Nope, the F-35 will never be capable of sustained supersonic speeds for structural reasons unless they put in a fix for those issues, the rear fuselage is vulnerable to damage along with the sensor panels in that area as well as stealth coating integrity. Right now, it is just too expensive to fix.
