@jamram9924 Targets were within Mosul - they were literally using Excalibur rounds to take out Isis fighter and pick up trucks, trying to set conditions for the Iraq army - who were dragging their feet, knowing that once Mosul was cleared, we and our cash were leaving. I kid you not, I saw one night in the TOC the night vision cam and target selection, it was insane they were using Excalibur rounds on random targets of opportunity, lol. Like using a super expensive round to kill two shitbirds in a pick up truck on overwatch.

@jamram9924 100% true lol - the only ones that wanted to storm Mosul were the Shiites from the south and those sonofbitches just wanted to kill arabs. Literally I remember a KLE where the southern Iraqi forces leadership sat down with us and upon arrival they were like 'when can we attack'? The arab Iraqi general who had been dragging his feet for months was there, and his fat ass got all bashful, i just asked via our terp why are you folks so ready to fight. The Southern Iraqi officer simply replied 'I will take any excuse I can get to kill arabs' followed by dead silence and 'oh ok, fair enough' from us. The best folks I met in Iraq were the Kurds - they are awesome and deserve their own state.

@GreatPolishWingedHussars take this from someone who has plenty of friends deep in the vaunted 'military industrial complex' - we want in; we want to butcher the orcs and just stop the fucking nonsense - we have no peers; same goes for the Chinese. Beltway bureaucrats and think tank folks mean nothing, just noise - truth is economies are collapsing and we are sitting on the bench saying put me in coach - lets start the endgame. You dont know what tomorrow brings, but we do :-)

@GreatPolishWingedHussars You misspelled 'defense' - the secret sauce for why we slaughter you all with ease is due to that fact an 18 year old boy can call in a multi-million dollars strike in seconds. It's our people - we are better then you, our civilization is better then yours - with all our faults, on our worst day we can end you with what we have (meaning just US, not NATO) in Europe. We have not and will not shift Pacific forces or mainland - we are saving that for Winnie the Pooh ;-) You literally no longer have an expeditionary force, and you broke your activity duty component - hell if you left tomorrow you wouldn't be home in months. And I know how big the MIA number is ;-) notice i didnt say KIA or POW - you literally have no clue where tens of thousands of men are. And for the record since Bush Sr, our President's have been weak, and thats ok; our system is best when decentralized - we thrive in chaos, the worse this world war gets the better we perform. But you are right - the American oligarchy is worried about their place post WW3; hence slow rolling - like the last gilded age, the prior oligarchy was destroyed post WW2. Oligarchies dont last long in America - a generation at most.
