Analysis in this video is very deceptive and unethical - true risk of pfof is sending retaill orders to dark pools that are not under FINRA's purview - like Citadel Connect - there is no way to ensure they are executing your order at all - let alone at best price. In fact if retail orders are against their clients or subsidaries short positions they have every incentive to execute sell orders short attacking the stock before executing your buy orders - or just putting your buy orders to sleep. Think of this conversation as a monopoly conversation where the market maker paying for order flow is a giant octopus with tentacles in short hedge funds, long hedge funds, fin tech brokers, pfof, etc... And remember when your not paying for a product, you are the product.
