  1. 100% correct - renewable ROI's (without massive government subsidizing) will never equal ROI associated with fossil fuels. The renewable pie isnt big enough to split up; cost is only closer to par if labor is super, super cheap. The question is - does the governmnet have the stomach to subsidize folks like Musk and others who can build factories across the republic to syphon of manufacturing from China - building our internal capacity. The reason I bring up Musk - look at what he is doing in Austin; across from the giga factory is massive steel mill that is being built to support his demand (Space X and Tesla's Cyberline). Outside of him; I dont know of anyone else who can build the capabilities quickly. However, Musk hates unions - but if the government placed that as i kicker or requirement for subsidizes within the contract; and gave him what he wanted with the moon base and Mars missions, he would play ball. Outside of him; and maybe Bezos I highly doubt anyone else could make this happen.
