  1. Yup; looking like it was a lab leak, could also be wet markets, but it is looking more and more like sheer incompetence of the lab. Ask anyone who does business in China - they have zero controls and have zero care for risk - it is beyond wild, wild west. Like none of their firms abide by GAAP, no safety standards for workers, briberies are expected, etc... All of which makes it very hard for US companies to compete in that market.

  2.  @dingfeldersmurfalot4560  totally agree the China Beige Book has the best analysis on the actual Chinese economy vs what they project. They cant innovate, or retain top talent, and their actual debt to gdp ratio makes us look fiscally sound; there is a better shot of bank run in mainland China than RMB replacing the USD in near term.
