Its not recipes; think of it as code being delivered being shipped to production to prevent production issues. Agile product development is what allows technology to scale; the problem with governance (FDA) is that they are still waterfall.

@traewatkins931 not sure what agile your used to put there is never an acceptable level of inaccuracy with my firm; never an excuse for client harm. That is also why there is so much focus PO approval in JIRA and developing ML algo's to limit the requirements of reperformance before code is shipped. That is also why you have robust controls in your production environment to mitigate risk associated with human error that was not captured in your maker/checker (inline quality review). Also scaling isnt super difficult as your adding additional capabilities to serve specific market and or client segments; so again I think we have had very different agile experiences. And my firm while quite large is still a bank holding company - no where near as advanced as google or amazon / AWS. Nor do I think for one second that Pfizer and Moderna would push code without ensuring the proper controls were in place to mitigate risk associated with negative upstream or downstream effects.

@Ryn Shane-Armstrong waterfall is garbage; perputuated by empire builders who leach of the firm's they exist in via networks not abilities. And MBA's are not really part of the Agile landscape; product development life cycle was influenced due to agiles success in the software development life cycle. Agile is driven engineers (developers); product owners if MBAs are top MBA's; many are have data science backgrounds, former CTO folk who understand what the clients want, or have other stem backgrounds - banking is snatching up physicist left and right. Agile is more about meritocracy; and being client centric. Waterfall is a self licking ice cream cone - which is why government employees love it so much - no accountability and no innovation; your welfare ride is protected.

@Ryn Shane-Armstrong I am sorry you think you brain is pudding, or that you have such a low opinion of yourself. Whatever happened to you as a child wasnt your fault, your better than this. If you just work harder you can achieve your potential - I did and so can you.
