  1. For the record coming from NYC to TX...TX is way better for families. My high property taxes pay for public schools that are mostly 9's and 10's. The lack of income tax I pay means my wife has the luxury of being a stay home mom. We were able to custom build our house and we can afford a Model Y. Quality of life for families are best represented in CO and TX; no longer CA and NY. And honestly both NY and CA arent bad due to high taxes, but they are horrific places to live because those high taxes are not translated to world class services; such as first rate schools.
