Meh while the proposal wont really do anything, i dont oppose it, but I would rather see the administration lift the payroll tax cap and apply payroll tax to dividends rather then this cobble together this sh*t sandwhich that they wont be able to properly implement. Extending the payroll tax to all individual income would be a net tax increase of 6.2% on all earners over 140K. And you can fund infrastructure 2-3 trillion by selling existing government debt that the Federal government owns (which has a higher interest rate and would be gobbled up quick on the open market). That would make the safety net solvent and not require new debt issuance - in fact it would help healthy inflation by circulating more quality collateral into the global euro-dollar system - and help unclog the liquidity trap that we are in.
